Good to hear that. Pag nagawi ka dito sa Davao sabihan mo 'ko. Medyo naparami na ng husto ang laruan ko dito, baka mag unload na ng ilan. May mga rare hifi vintage akong nabili nitong mga nakaraang buwan. Marami nang nakatambak na hindi naka hook, sayang.

Extreme left, and right lang ang pihit nung dalawang VRs, malamang gagana yan. BTW, this works for Sony ES CDPs (I still have close to a dozen Sony ES CDPs which I tinker with occasionally) but it may not work for other models and brands. May dalawa na akong CDPs -- TEAC and Marantz, or ADC -- na nasunog ang board dahil sa adjustments ng VRs (I could have shorted some circuits during the process).

would be very interested in what you have to unload sir nani  :)

just to share, i had a loading problem with my 228-esd a couple of years back. tried newport and deeco, they didn't have it.

good thing i was at ferds place, and...he had a dremel tool. he modded the casing, top loading cdp na sha  ;D

glorified rice cooker look alike  ;D definitely a keeper!

kinalikot ko yung mga sinabi mo pero still no can do, ayaw pa rin mag-spin. "0" displayed sa front panel. ayaw mag respond ng mga frontpanel buttons at remote control. mukang di na aabutin ng halloween/undas itong cdp  ;D

maghintay na lang ako pag mag-unload ka amp/cdp. tnx ;D  ::)

BTW, for those inquiring, I'm not really selling and I can't stand the hassle of replying to too many inquiries and haggling online or shipping from here to Manila. I'm just saying that if some of you would drift to Davao, contact me if you want to come home with a 20kg-amp or a 10kg-CDP.

im sure dagsa pm mo for those vintage gems you offer to unload. all (vintage lovers') roads lead to davao!!! ;D

 I have a Pioneer PD 8070 vintage at bigla na lang ayaw mag play may power naman. baka may ilam kayong magaling na repair shop dito sa manila.

update on 502es...mukang r.i.p. na . adjusted the screw of the lever...umikot uli cd pero ayaw pa rin magbasa. dinala ko sa sony service center since malapit lang, no can do - wala na raw silang lens para sa old models.

hanap ako ng mag-repair/replace lens or even tray. or mag-convert ng unit into a DAC baka pwede lagyan ng input for another cd player to serve as transport. kung pwede tignan ko rin kung pwede palitan op-amps ng sony...or kung pwede pa- ipa-"tube" hehehe

pag wala pa, baka store muna, katayin na lang kung may mapakinabangan spare parts....

basta yung remote na binigay mo - for keeps! ;D

Nalinis mo ba yung lens? Moist cloth lang, tapos tuyuin kaagad. Pagkatapos adjust ulit ang VRs hanggang sa magbasa. Pag-ayaw pa, ilabas mo na, buhusan ng lighter fluid at sindihan -- habang tumutugtug si Jimi Hendrix ng Purple Haze!

Biro, lang. By plain coincidence I was playing a Hendirx vinyl (Are You Experienced?) when I opened this thread and got your message. I miss our younger days!

1. nilinis ko lens gamit cottonbud & greencross alchohol - "di lang pam-pamilya, pang audio pa!"

2. habang nag-spin cd, inikot-ikot ko yung dalawang lightblue plastic. ayun bigla nagbasa

hehehe natakot yata mabuhusan ng lighter fluid  ;D  ;D ;D

yung 3 lightblue whatchamacallit ang susi, adjust lang pala :)

nakuha sa tyaga ikot-ikot hanggang nahilo yata sa kulit o sa takot mabuhusan ng lighter fluid ayos!  ;D

dapat di ko yata pinost dito baka di na ako regaluhan ni Saint Nani sa pasko >:(  ;D

Yang binigay kong remote sa 'yo, ang alam ko original yan for Sony 501ES. But it also works for all Sony ES CDPs. Good to hear your CDP is working again.

yup sir rene. intermittent na yung performance nung transport. ni-mod ni ferds yung casing (dremelled). kaya top loading na siya ever since.

congrats ulit sa nabuhay na patay :)

sir nani, baka may spares ka pa na remotes for sony esd models you might want to sell? thanks ko

Maghahanap ako rito, kasi alam ko marami yan. Tatlo lang ang ginagamit ko ngayon, baka meron pang nakatago. Naalala ko tinanong ko nuon si LordFoo kung kailangan niya, ang sagot "Oo", kaya lang hindi na kami nagkita, hindi ko nabigay sa kanya. Parang 6 pieces ang binili ko na remote control units all for Sony ES CDPs.

I'll be in Manila mid-December until after New Year. Then I'll be back 3rd weekend of January. Malamang may madadala ako para sa 'yo.

I saw the following CDPs on surplus shops here in Cavite, price ranges from P800 to P1.5K
Any feedback on these players, wala talaga akong mahanap na info sa web...

Yamaha CDX700
Pioneer PDX420
Denon DCD1300
Kenwood DP7J
Victor (don't know the exact model)
