NMT with DD and DTS decoder question

If my NMT has a decoder... how do i get the 5.1 channel output? I guess i no longer need a receiver with DD and DTS decoder right? Can i use a prologic receiver? Will the decoded signal go thru Optic or coax out to optic or coax in of the prologic receiver?
