I've a bro in NY who wants to bring this home as a gift.

Since no problem naman sa shipping, i say go for the 55"-60" lcd's.

good specs. for a sony, it's cheap (compared to PH prices). so yes, go, why not.

and why not, because you might find other cheaper and/or bigger branded LED/LCD TVs there at that price range

you know what?i suddenly had an idea.since shipping is no problem,maybe i can start bringing in TVs and start a retail thing here.

TV from US? Get something even better. The 8 or 9 series tutal paminsan-minsan ka lang naman papadala ng ganyan kalaki and may shipping company kamo ang Dad mo. Malayo ang leap in tech from 720 to 8xx while 9xx is really awesome. Ang yeah, make it bigger.

Kung dyahe sa Brother, dagdagan mo yun 999 na budget. Sayang yung chance to get a really good Sony.

Seriously, borrow from the Dad or from your brother interest-free. But you pay ha! hehe.

Kung Sony talaga gusto mo, Sony model 820 is really NICE, but 920 is even NICER. The 720 is a good TV but it's a mainstream model. Again, sayang yung chance na effectively "subsidized" yung $999. hehe. At the end of the day, bigay pa rin ni loving brother yon.

hmmm...good point.nangangamoy gastos na naman to salamat sa mga taga pdvd.hehehe

o sige hahanap ako ng ibang alternative.and hindi naman ako tutok sa sony lang.any other brands with the specs you mentioned,na pasok sa price range na to?

Theres one model that might fit your budget SONY 55" HX-800. Baka magdagdag ka lang ng $200.00.

In a short while, maliliitan ka na sa 46". Youll yearn for a 50" then 55"-60". Jump the gun and get a 55" agad.

Pwede din ba magpa-sabay sa shipping mo of this model?

err... does tv still have coax rf for analog tv or cable tv? US of A is already broadcasting digital tv signals so presume this tv has only a digital tv receiver

If you're getting the Sony Bravia 55HX800 just add $200 have it shipped by wednesday through Johnny Air Cargo in Mega Mall it will arrive on friday then by Sat. you already have your great t.v. by then. mine came in also from New York. My S.B. 40HX800. I'm pretty happy with my t.v. set.

great for watching HD channels on Cignal.

Shipping cost me $200 and yes i did pay my taxes. Which is why my expenses went up abit.
Yikes!! I had it as a birthday present. Next purchase in line a pair of 3D glass and a 3D transmitter.
I'm not sure if i need to buy a 3D blu ray....Thanks to everyone here at PinoyDvd for being an inspiration to me and to others....Without you guys wala akong HT ngayon. Maybe up to now nakahook yung vhs sa karaoke just to have a simple setup. Thanks again everyone.

Sorry if i don't have the details on how much my tax cost that went with the t.v.
Wala kasi sa akin yung resibo ko, since i can't afford to go to the U.S. I just ask someone to go buy it for me. All in all i paid $1,700 for the t.v. tax and shipping.
The t.v. was bought at PC Richards & Son.
