I get a lot of SMS and phone calls regarding the Mediasonic, so decided to include the unboxing of one of the two that arrived:

Brand: Mediasonic Probox 4-bay enclosure
Applications: multi drive SATA disk bay , 3 speed fan,
front button: for power, interface selection (SATA/USB), fan speed button
rear connectors for DATA interfaces:
- USB 3.0 connector (5GBPS) negotiates to USB 2.0 (for NMT/PC without USB 3.0)
- eSATA connector (3GPBPS) sees all disks with a eSATA controller with port multiplier support

hehehe, malapit na to mapasakamay mo hehehe, i documented the unboxing para masayahan ka naman. ayun, hawak nya 4 x 2TB ko at burn in siya sa desk ko:

2 disks na 2TB BD full navigation menu movies + 2 disks na puro TV series

bwahahah, wag naman collection ko yan and its 3 x 2TB now and 1 x 3TB.

NOTE TO SELF: - not all drive bays and enclosures are created equal.

if you have a 3TB, and will do GPT partition during initialization, it MUST BE INSIDE MEDIASONIC since it supports 3TB.
Other generic docks will see 3TB capacity fine, others only see 2TB.
Some docks i tested ( i bought 1 from the competitor) will ask you to partition the 3TB during initialization as 2TB + 1 TB, while some dont.
So when buying docks, and you have 3TB, check mo maximum capacity, make sure your 3TB works. But if you will stay within 2TB or below, these docks will be ok.
