Houston is gathering draft picks and other assets

the word is they're preparing an offer to the Orlando Magic for D12

even if they don't have the assurance that he'll re-sign with them after this upcoming season

I think it's too early to call the drafting of Kemba as a failure(even as a roster redundancy) in that regard since he was considered as the best player available at the time, even projected as high as the 5th pick.

Last year was also the their first year of their rebuilding mode and they were already projected to be the worst team even before the season began, so the expectations weren't very high to begin with.
i heard cats is planning to trade agustin for a veteran.guard. Kemba is a very good pg to start with, kulang lang talaga sa maturity.. Anyway, ilan lang naman talaga ang mabilis nka pag adjust frm college to pro..

Yeah, they're not completely sold on Augustin. I read somewhere that they originally wanted Brook Lopez but Larry Brown insisted on drafting Augustin instead. And Kemba/Bismack was forced to take on much larger roles than expected in their rookie season because of various players missing time due to injuries(Magette/Tyrus/ReggieW/Augustin/Henderson) or just being in the dog house(Diaw).

Interesting. Matagal ko na hihintay magkaroon ng shake-up ang Atlanta. Among the good teams in the NBA, Atlanta ang pinaka-boring.

Pero yung rumor na MWP for a 1st rd pick, malabo yun. Baka Lakers pa ang magbigay ng draft pick sa ibang team para lang kunin si MWP.  :D

Yeah I agree.  Any GM who would sign up on that deal should immediately be hanged.   ;D

Lakers are looking for a late 1st rounder

http://www.foxsportsohio.com/06/26/12/NBA-Rumors--Draft-News-Day-12/landing.html?blockID=751900&feedID=3725

as much as he's messed up on the psychological side of things..

he's still a good (not excellent though) defender and can score once in a while.

3 team deal involving the Clippers, Mavs, and Lakers (RUMOR for now)

Clippers get Lamar Odom (back to the team which drafted him)
Lakers get Mo Williams
Mavs get the trade exemption dealt last year for Lamar Odom

Jonny Flynn also interested in signing with the Lakers. he's an unrestricted free agent btw

Among the late 1st round teams, sa tingin ko walang kakagat, Unless the Lakers are willing to take on a contract that is equally nasty. Their best bet is to buy an early 2nd rd pick if marquis teague or quincy miller falls. I think Perry Jones III (mid 1st rd) is out of reach.

No question MWP is still a serviceable player.

But why would a GM take on a bloated contract for a first rounder where even a 30th pick would still be as serviceable.... maybe more than serviceable and definitely be cheaper and w/o a guaranteed headache?

it was a HUGE mistake giving joe johnson a very large contract. ngayon hirap sila mag acquire ng players and hirap din sila i ship si johnson dahil nga ang laki ng contract at walang gusto mag shoulder nun. supertar contracts should be reserved to superstar performers

ok lang yan. lottery/rebuilding teams usually get the top pick para na rin mabigyan sila ng mas competitive season. remember back in the days when houston and chicago were bottom dwellers until they got olajuwon and jordan respectively. now it's up to the team management to surround their "future" with good players

I was also surprised he fell down the draft that much.  You would think he would've been snagged up by Golden State at least.  Tambak na ang explosive scorers sa GSW, and they still got Harrison Barnes. :(
Don't fight it
