  Not that I really care but how come Segunda Mano already edged Panday? I heard that Panday really sucks but Segunda sucks even more coz I saw it. It's really a 4th/5th rate horror movie and I regretted having watched that only one MMFF movie. No more MMFF for me!

Not that I really care but how come Segunda Mano already edged Panday? I heard that Panday really sucks but Segunda sucks even more coz I saw it. It's really a 4th/5th rate horror movie and I regretted having watched that only one MMFF movie. No more MMFF for me!

There is some growing opposition to the MMFF in Cebu. Some of my friends as well as their officemates and associates who are movie enthusiasts discuss

1. Challenging in court the legality of the MMFF's monopoly on movie theaters nationwide. This is because the MMFF also has a lock on what was shown in Cebu's own theaters, and Cebu is not even a part of Metro Manila.

2. Cebu would be better off having its very own 2-week film festival starting December 25 every year. Instead of watching Vic Sotto and those other stars in perceived crappy films, they would rather watch Cebuano or Visayan-produced films.

Jessica Zafra panned it...hindi yata forte talaga ni Joyce Bernal ang horror genre. Its good Ricky that your kids are into watching movies, hehe.
