Just heard that these are now in our shores.  Can anyone confirm if the usual resellers have these already in stock?

I just love the stability of the old MED500X ...... this X2 model should be even better, with 1185 (which I can attest, provides a very nice PQ) & USB3.0 slave.

However, one small item that I just wish that MEDE8ER incorporate soon is a sturdy mobile HDD rack.

By mobile did you mean 2.5" hdd or a hot-swappable tray? I don't suggest the hot-swappable as my player's sata connector wore down after a while. So I had to resort to usb.

^ Ouch, there should be SATA connectors available in some electronic shops .... or order some online, if it's worth it.

HDD mobile trays, similar to the one on the PCH C200, EGREAT R200, etc. I want this feature, more for my non-techie relatives (seniors) who'll appreciate the ease in replacing HDD's.

Also, even if docks/trays are hot-swappable, I would never recommend replacing components with power still on.

+1 this is true unless NAS rated yung connectors mo. same is true with docks.

most techies i know simply like their disks outside of the unit to fend off heat from disks. so eSATA/USB docks are popular to that crowd.

Other prefer that the internal disk option (removable disks) is there to begin with so if/when they need to the option is there readily.

either way, the point is to get more disks into your players if/when you need to. i personally like dual and quad docks which i can power on only when i need access to more libraries.

Med500x2 owners, enjoy your players :)

I've tested several times sa ehome, mas mabagal ang reaction time when clicking to any features, wala na din yung option to quickly go to a particular time ng movie by pressi the numbers in the remote, you now have to press " go to" then the time. Even them finds the new med8er slower.
The handsomest and the happiest ;b

if that's the case, can be due to the X2 UI, coz 1185 chip itself is 20% faster and cooler (temp wise) over the 1073.  YAMJ pa din ba siya?

Give it time. Firmware is relatively new. As for navigation, I think you should call them and ask if there's an easier way or consult the manual. I doubt the "go to" is the only way to navigate, given Mede8er's track record.
