Topic: Need help guys in soundproofing a room.

Good day po mga sir, I just want to ask for a help and opinion po on how to soundproof a spare room gagawen ko kasi syang drum/ht room. And also nakakahiya na din po sa kapatid ko na nakatira sa 2nd floor ng bahay pag nagprapractice po ako mag drums dinig na dinig un drums sa kanila. Ang una ko po na question is ano po kaya mga materials needed for soundproofing? balak ko na kasi sya ipa double wall. Para ala na talagang sound vibration makakatakas sa wall. Eto nga po pala ung current setup ko ngayon. Pagpasensyahan nyo na po ung cut nung foam tabingi hehe. Thanks guys!

Do you have a budget in mind? Made a room specifically for the same purpose,drum sessions. Btw kakatakot yung aircon mount mo

Hi sir, thanks for the reply. siguro sir around 10-15k lang ung budget ko para dyan sa room. is it enough na po kaya? my biggest problem kasi sir is what kind of materials will I use and pano ung pag install. some say ung insulator sheet idikit ko muna sa wall then make a frame and then attached the second wall. yung aircon sir, dont worry po may support un sa likod hehehe. thanks sir.

tuwa siguro ng mag maintain ng aircon mo, meron siyang literal na dedicated service door  .

AC baka lang mag cause ng vibrations yan later, since hollow yan, but nothing a 2x5 framing cant fix, also yung drips ng aircon sa rear need to be routed.

I can teach you but you have to call since it's hard to type. Your budget seems or should I say low to contain the room. But as a start you can treat the ceiling first para mawala na hiya mo sa brother who is in the second floor. Secret is AIR GAP, the bigger the better. Also less points of vibration is also suggested. Use thickest gypsum board you can afford para less intermediate materials ka na.
