Sir banesto I don't remember if I had told you this but one time my source had a Sansui AU-6900 as is, had blown output transistors and for a moment decided to get it but later on declined kasi baka di ko mapaandar. Never had a Sansui kasi and I was wondering how they really sound compared to my Yamaha's and Luxman.

You said that for me before.....Well kanya kanyang tenga yan....Some were Luxman lover....Some were Sui's
lover etc....etc. For me Sansui esp vintage hi end amplipiers sounded best. Other amps lack in mids or hi's or bass.....other amps was good in mid's and hi's but lack in bass or vice versa..... As for Yamaha.... I have also
Yamaha amps before maybe 3 but I'm not satisfied so I sold them. I have so many Vintage Sansui amps esp
hi end....Two of my hi end amps like Sansui AU-919 and Sansui AU-Xlll Mos Vintage goes to Forseti. They are all
super mint condition, Yung iba di ko na maalala kung sino nakabili.
Many pdvd members kept Vintage Sansui like Sir Sandawa, Forseti and many others. You can ask some
advice with them. Sansui Alpha 907 made me feel satisfied so wala na akong ganang maghanap pa ng ibang
mga amps. Parang nakuha nya lahat..... Yung bass....mid....Hi.....perfect lahat para sa akin. At pulidong
tumunog.
Just try Sansui amps sir para malaman mo ang pagkaka iba.....Ikaw mismo makakapansin nyan, kaya
lang to be safe kumuha ka ng mint na higher model lalo na kung hi end.

Have been researching on those western amps (Leach, Oviation, E-amp, Quad 405-2) that uses onsemi transistors and would build one before this year ends. Will probably start with the Oviation sx which is a 15w RMS symmetrical CFA topology Pure Class A, it uses MJL1381 and MJL1302 on its output stage.

Before I even got my vintage amps I bought a defective Marantz pm54 to be used as a case for a Class A amp that uses MJ21195/96 output transistors but never finished building one as I got busy looking for integrated amps in pier and later on near our area (Pampanga).

would be unfair to compare Class A amps with Class AB amps, tilted in favor of class A palagi...

No sir, I'm favoring Class A amps over Class AB which is why I'm planning to build the Ovation sx
Here's the link http://hifisonix.com/the-sx-amplifier/.

Of course this is beyond this thread (surplus amps) so pardon me for the OT.

sir Ernie, I have been told that my Sansui BA-150 came from you...
How would you compare its sound signature with other Sansui amp in your stable?

I think it's the PC park Japan shop, same as the one in MCS. I find their pricing on the high side though.

BA-150 sounds detailed with gud hi's and mid's. It's only 45wpc but it sounded well enough esp at lower
volume.

It will definitely sound best if you pair it with CA-606 sansui pre amp.
