Naintriga ako sayo ka ernie kasi me 3 ka, now i know why. This is the amp that i could live with for a long long time. The best that i ever had.

Maraming Salamat ka ernie for posting here regarding your 3 907s, and also sir Sandawa "the legend" it fueled me to own one also. And it was my best purchase.

Question lang mga brader, do we need to shell out huge amount of money para lang ma-attain ang audio nirvana or even just the satisfaction of hearing a good sounding amp and speakers?

I know di tayo pare pareho ng lalim ng bulsa, yung iba dito sobrang lalim, yung iba sakto lang, ako naman kakaunti lang lagayan ng bulsa ko, hehe. Anyways most of the audio enthusiast here swear to the sound of Sansui (bias ba?), I'm sure as with most everything that's tangible you can't have it all pero I like the idea na sana maging open tayo sa klase ng amp kung mosfet man o transistor ang output na gamit at huwag puro na lang Sansui ang nababasa ko dito sa thread na ito. After all, this is a thread for Surplus amp and not Sansui thread. Madami na ang nagpost na sabi trust your ears pero puro Sansui lang ineendorse, what's with them anyway? Padinig nga minsan para naman mai-compare ko sa mga amp ko na nadinig na at ginagamit ngayun, hehehe

Currently I have acquired a Diatone DA-A7000, it's a 6 channel amp and compared to the 607 and 707 of sansui I would choose the sound of the Diatone hands down.

Minsan depende din sa speaker na nakakabit eh. Ako nga may 50 watter kolokoy - never heard - amp. Pero it rocks the house with finesse...

Meron din ako Sui 707 at 919, pero mas nagagamit ko si never heard.

Medyo nakukuha mo din pala nasa isip ko bro, :-D
Same with the Sony TA-1055a, a 20watter amp pero you would be surprise at how it sound, huge soundstage for a little amp.

Take note, pag tiningnan mo ang loob ng amp na to... matatawa ka, kasi parang yung mga amps na mumurahin at liliit ng components. Kaya talagang nagulat ako. Traffo, tranny at caps puro mukang kolokoy lang...

Malaking bagay talaga amp-speaker matching. I've experienced this (Di ba Ka Ernie?

) Madami akong amps na TOTL, pero isa lang ang talagang gusto ko

At buti na lng may dalawa akong speaker na kahit alin sa amp ko ang ipares ay maganda pa rin ang sq though magkaiba syempre ang sound character nila.

Hindi naman malalim bulsa ko kaya pinag-ipunan ko talaga alpha 907, i was hesitant nga kasi i haven't heard an alpha before kaso nung dumating and nakita ko kung gano kasariwa parang i forgot how much i spent for this amp, lalo na nang nadinig ko, and yes match sya speakers na i have. Ako din bugbog na tenga ko sa praise ng alpha dito sa thread so i opted to source out one dahil walang mahanap dito. Luckily napakaganda ng nakuha ko

I have spent so much sa iba ibang amps kung susumahin mo sobra sobra pa pambili ng alpha 907, and yet yung 907 ang money well spent ko. I had many good amps but not as great as this one. All i can say is that alphas are meant to be paired with B&Ws

any amplifier is useless without any speakers connected to it...
and a matter of finding the right match between amp and speakers...

Very subjective ito. Depende rin kung saan na nasanay ang tenga ng listener. Our ears will eventually adjust or adapt to what we usually listen to. I dont think I can claim that "this amp is better than this one". Its just a matter of taste, 'ika nga nila.

Minsan din, when we suddenly hear something different from what we have, akala mo mas maganda na. In time, makikita mo rin mga flaws (para ding sa bebot ba?

Sir darkangel69 are talking about the alpha 607 and 707?
On the contrary i happen to listen to an alpha 607 extra and was extremely impressed. Maybe the alpha 707 is better as one of my friend from cebu is bragging about it. Oh well our musical preferences really differ.
Ako kasi if i would be offered an alpha amp be it a 607, 707 and hopefully 907, i'll pay for it without any hesistation. Napaganda ng alpha series ng sansui. Sa 607 pa lang i am very impressed na lalo na siguro 907. Padinig joey.

I can bring my victor ax1000 or the diatone da-a7000 so I myself can make a direct comparison over sansui's alpha series. We could use a set of speakers or two.
