Dami dati sa Pier. Dun nga ako naka score ng iba't ibang "mamahaling" amps, speakers at CDP.

Kakalungkot at naiba na ang panahon. Dati rati nasa 3-5K lang mga amps. Ang speakers mas mura ng konti tapos ang CDP naman mas mura sa mga speakers.

Just resurrecting this nice thread :D

Sharing this review / objective measured performance of the Denon PM-90.
By today's state of the art, said vintage gear can still stand toe-to-toe!

I have a PM90, natengga ng 3++ years, yesterday sept 29,, sinet-up ko sya, ampangit na ng sound, parang muffled sya, I tried on 2 sets of speakers, Sansui LM330 and mission MX5...pareho ang tunog...I will try cleaning baka sakaling umayos pa ang tunog nya...sayang pag nagkataon, ganda pala ng review

gamitan mo ng series lamp tester para safe, ang purpose nito ay ma uncover ang weak parts...usually mga caps na sumingaw na...

true, Class A amps are hottest when on idle, when delivering music to speakers, it cools down a bit, but hardly perceptible.....

Sa pier, halos wala na,  if meron, yung mga di magandang brand. Check FB marketplace, maraming sellers doon....

Last time I've checked beginning of the pandemic wala na sir. Sa mga probinsiya meron pa like a 1950's heathkit mono amp na nakuha ko sa Ilocos Sur

Meron dati nagawi dito sa amin sa Bocaue, Bulacan at meron din ako nakita sa Marilao pero bago pa mag pandemic. Na Covid din yata mga amps hehehe

Same yan with surplus car parts from Japan. Medyo mahirap na ang stocks coming in from Japan because our neighboring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia etc are gobbling up the inventory.

You are far better off sourcing it from the US.  Doon nagkalat mga good condition 70's. 80's and 90's amps.  Sa Flea market lang dami mo makikita.

Got a Marantz PM-90 also, natambak din pero before natambak habang nililinis ko hayun natuluan ng pawis, umusok...
