Internal TV Tuners with Sky Cable
« on: Jan 09, 2012 at 07:45 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm planning to build an HTPC around May, this year.

Roles:
PRIMARY - HTPC
SECONDARY - File Server
TERTIARY - Movie Encoder, etc.

Been canvassing around for parts.
Most of my other planned parts are set.
Unfortunately, there are still two components that I'm uncertain of.

First is the OS.
I'm not sure if I should go XBMC Live and save a few bucks,
Or go with Win7 Home Premium + XBMC for Windows, and have the versatility of using Windows Media Center and/or XBMC. Plus, I'm not too familiar with Umbutu which is bundled with XBMC live.
Any thoughts?

Second is the Internal TV tuner.
Is it worth it to get one?
Does it function well with Sky Cable (compatibility-wise)?
Anyone encountered any documentation regarding this?
We're using a DigiBox, does this change the set-up?
