I don't get it..  Is the BD cheaper?  ???

"Premium hardcover book packaging with press material and photographs from the film" are for the BD, right?

On the live action front, just in time for the Presidential election, Warner will deliver a 3-disc JFK: Ultimate Collector's Edition on DVD, including special packaging, 3 hours of bonus content and collectible memorabilia, as well as an all new documentary, The Kennedy's: America's Emerald Kings. This title will also be available on Blu-ray Disc format in Digibook packaging.

Is digibook the same as digipack?  ;D

According to the site, yes. Sounds like SD was treated better in terms of packaging.

So I guess Digibook is a hardcover book packaging  ::)

That's a good trend for packaging.  That way, the pirates will not be able to keep up.

So the DVD is really more expensive  :o  I assumed it was a typo, and the prices were accidentally interchanged.

Can we still say that BD is for the elite?  ;D

As for digipak and digibook...

I think digipak looks like this:

And digibook looks like this:

I see, doesn't look very elegant though. Is this the new trend in BD packaging?

No, I don't think so.

I hotlinked the picture from this site:

My impression is that Warner is only doing it for the classic titles.
