Sonus faber Grand Piano are highly regarded transducers by the Audio HiFi community !! those are very capable speakers that reveal the full potential of well engineered AMX products !!

Thanks Bro, yup that's the one, pero iyong nasa pict ay my other amp, Amadeus SR#1 KT88 PP Triode-Connected amp....Both Maestro 845 & Amadeus KT88 are real heavy weights at approx 34Kgs. Oo nga long time no see, Dec. 2005 ba or Early of 2006 ba tayo nagpunta kina Krueg? Regards

Thank you bro bass_nutt, yes indeed it was a perfect match. Unfortunately bihira ko mapakinggan coz most of the time andito ako overseas. Pero may mini setup ako dito, humble one yet can rival those stuff of similar range or higher from Cayin-Spark Audio, Audio Space, Ming-Da, Xindak or even Jolida. This mini-amp is courtesy by the tube guru himself...Andrew Sevilla. I have a friend who bought a Cayin A88T and ng marinig niya itong AMX mini-amp ko ay nagulo ang mundo niya hehehe, gusto niyang ibenta iyong Cayin and plans to get the AMX Overture instead.

Even iyong prominent tube master din dito sa Singapore, known as Mr. Lim, he personally heard this AMX mini-amp and was impressed, we had a session last 2010 iyong sinasabi kong "listening in 1st 3 watts", nakita ko sa mukha niya iyong sorpresa niya lalo ng marinig niya si Rebecca Pidgeon, Jheena Lodwick at iyong classical strings ng kababayan niyang sina Wong Mai Ming at Lo Yang. indeed, AMX tube(s) and s/s audio products deliver satisfying SQ as referenced through highly regarded associated audio gears.

on the same line, i recently heard brother Voltz' smallish AMX tube preamp circa 2004.. single tube driven.. it was one of the 1st iteration of his journey to AMX tube world ...nalaglag ang pantalon ko sa ganda ng SQ !! !!!

Correct Bro bass_nut, iba ang SQ ng AMX, sabi ko nga I've listened to different tube amplifiers since I was in Riyadh, Dubai, HK & SG, but nothing comes close sa warm presentation ng AMX Tube Audio...ika nga with Uncanny Realism. BTW, another Iphone Video of my AMX mini-amp (very warm, liquid and airy sq, the sweet tone of JJ 6L6GC and NOS GE 6BL8-ECF80 England)....You may want to check it out. Regards

6SN7 preamp unit with tone controls, loudness switch, bypass switch & remote control:

upgrades:
new faceplate and narra sidings

alps potentiometers were installed on the tone controls,,, onix matt gold rca inputs & outputs, quasi balance output added.

separate power supply

inside the transformer cover , battery pack was installed to power the mm/mc phono unit

yes indeed, we have to congratulate the engineer (amx) for this great work of art!

i'm now testing my upgraded 6sn7 preamp with the melody amp [whose bypass switch was repaired
by sir andrew (amx)]. good thing he was able to download the schematics of the australian-designed tube amp.

i will also play some test lps using my gyro se tt..now with denon 103 ( j_a kamagong body )

Separate tube (nos hitachi 5y3 or nos phillips) rectified power supply was the last upgrade/modification made.
At the time it was made, it was supposed to be paired with a big tube amp using a pair of 211 tubes per monobock (150wpc) , the objective of which is to have lots of headroom in driving dyns.. .I already made the downpayment for the amp then but funds wer returned six months later due to some supply problem...[project then was scheduled for another time).. so bitin
I paired it then with my existing 40wpc amp wc is a melody. .
Maybe, it's what you called luck or fate, the amp came into possession years later with the help [or courtesy ) of a friend... A series of repairs,modifications, and some upgrades went through it. Of course, it was made by the same company who built it, AMX.
Customized approach (as compared to js buying ready-made items on display rack) is not that inexpensive, if that's what one thinks, and isn't what you call a "walk in the park" journey ....if it's a first of it's kind -say nothing like it made before in the lineup, at makulit ka sa feature , then -let the deigner do his job , what this means also --is that you must be willing to have a lot of patience, like being a part of what i call "R&D" kuno, you also mst do some google research and be willing to make some simple tweaks and experiments. Good thing the engineer has the superb skills and paience to do the task required . He even has all the measuring equipment to test his design and creation. Just be prepared though to be bombarded with tech jargon and graphs....be ready with google...haha
But in the end, you just hv to close your eyes and listen to the high-end sound to enjoy!

No problem. Post ko pag nagawa na. Coming from audio research and conrad johnson tube amps, I wanna try yung sariling atin! Time to support Philippine made products. Saka napansin ko, sirain mga tube amps galing sa Tate:-)
