the guys all but removed my stock tubes and placed a telefunken for the cd buffer, telefunken again for the phono stage, and rca cleartops for the linestage..... waaaaahh! it's not my preamp anymore.

PROS: nice features, nice looks... detailed & dynamic when fitted w/ the right tube combination (rca & tele)... the CD buffer is optional, you can bypass it by hooking up thru the AUX input... 2 pre-outs allow bi-amping or hooking up a sub.

CONS: stock matsus1ta tubes are crystal clear but roll off the bass... they're not burned in yet so this could still change... hans had hitachi tubes w/c i think are better balanced... the chassis gets hot because it is used as heatsink for the regulator, but its no big deal... nice thing about these cons, you can avoid all of it by telling andrew what you want.

isak brought mullards to replace the stock ei driver tubes..... waaaaahh! it's not my amp anymore..... the amp sounds very different with different tubes..... when isak left we tried jj tesla and telefunken (thanks to kimpao), and we settled for the tele coz it matched better.

PROS: clear & musical when heard at moderate volume... not too fast, not too slow... relatively inexpensive.

CONS: 8 watts... requires speaker matching like most single-ended... pumiyok kay enya.

one thing i noticed about single-ended amps... they can actually drive most speakers as long as you don't play them loud... when you do play them relatively loud, they become choosy with the tracks you play... jazz band is easier to play than an orchestra.

pre yun pinagusapan natin pwede kaya?

palagyan ko ng toggle switch -- pag naka stereo mode as-is lang.... kapag switch ko to mono, magiging push-pull (or parallel single-ended) na monoblock para mag-double ang wattage.

tapos pagawa pa ako ng isa.

Ganda ng amx el34 sumasabay sa 300B, especially for the price....

ay mali...pangit yung amp mo akyat...namimili ng speakers...bilhin ko na lang hehehe jk!

hay sarap ng session, napapa isip 2loy ako. kaya lang baka d kayanin ng tubes yng speakers ko e, hard to drive kasi tapos 4ohms pa!

pro what if i attach e tube preamp sa ss ko? saw one at phasetron kasi, i think its an amx as well (kaya d ot ha).

nice meeting ya all there ha, kahit 3pm na kami dumating my inabutan pa rin.

kaya lang dapat tinangal talaga natin yong dac..... iwan ko kng d hinahanap hanap ni hans ngayon yong tunog ng evo nya with the monarch.....

di kaya sa mesa galing yong magandang mids?
