quite pricey if i may add. andrew is working on tube based cd player..that is converting the output stage of an existing cd player to tubed.

Daanin mo nalang sa kable!! Ahehehe... cable roll ba? Happy ako sa HK/8.3 ko... lalo na pag warmed-up na... langhiya yung xlo... lumitaw yung warmed-up sa hindi warmed-up sound... dati bira lang ako ng bira kasi SS naman eh... kelangan parin pala e- warm-up!

Grabe pala yang tube amp na yan ang gandang tumonog, when i got home from makati binuksan ko yung HK/8.3 ko..... abay pumangit, nakarinig lang ako ng tunog ng tube amp pumangit na sa pandinig ko yung HK, symptoms na ba to ng SARS wag naman sana kabibili ko lang ng HK, 8.3 and DTX 4.10.

hehehe ok yan mind conditioning....e yung tube amp sa phasetron generic yung speaker cables and interconnects ok na....paano kaya kung palitan yung speaker cables and interconnects? hehehe

john...really depends on the brand of the tube CDP you're getting (i know this is OT)...

going back to andrew's new project...could this be similar to the MF X10-D...tube output buffer???

well its still relatively pricey...since 20K is still pricey to some...hence I gave that description for tubed cd players

The one who bought the el34 amp has a sexy wife(anyone know sunshine cruz?)

I think you'll provide the CD player tapos tweak nya to tube output he was looking for a cd player na cheap lang to experiment on tapos may hinahanap sya DAC ng cd player.. nun nakausap namin dati ni Akyat..

agree, bro...although i'm not sure if the tube buffer will "improve" the sound from the source...i've had an experience with the X10-D...for some CDPs, instead of hearing an improvement, sound became muddy...may dadaanana pa kasing cables ulit eh...but of course, that's me...but if you're going to use very good tubes (like mullards), then probably the result would be different...i only used the stock tubes...

let's see...kelan daw target date of completion???

yung standalone tube buffer na nasa picture ay 4.5k......... kung ilalagay yun sa loob ng CD player, alisin natin sa cost yung chasis, knobs, RCA terminals at transformer, baka malaki ang bawas sa price (i think).
