single-ended EL34 STC - P14,500

single-ended 807 STC - P15,000

guys balita ko pwede pa maka-iskor ng 10% discount pag malakas ka sa kanila hehe... si mr. sunshine din nakahingi daw ng 10% discount sa new-look EL34 push-pull amp kaya parang 20k na lang ginastos ni idol.

bakit kaya tatlo yun driver tubes sa harap?

i listened for a while and compared the two amps.... the EL34 produced more body to female vocals (audiophile voices 1), the 807 played vocals as if the singer was a little more distant or smaller although not by much.... treble & bass detail seemed more apparent on the 807 probably because the frequency curve was smiley face whereas the EL34 freq. curve was frowny face (emphasis on mids/low-mids).... both sound very clear & detailed btw.

i really dont know what amp to get though im leaning more toward the lush sounding amp, ang ganda nga ng 300b mejo mahal lang. ang ganda ng mga bagong dating lalo na yung push pull ni iceman na el34, poging pogi! magakanu kaya ang ganun? pa pm naman! tnx

its solid state rectified but should give the same smooth sound

less power consumption on standby as well.

hmmnn better ask andrew about it as he has a better explanation why it's three but its got something to do with the super triode connection obviously

this amp though emphasizes on the mids.

yung driver tube sa gitna ang naiba.... di ako sure kung ano yun, maaring linestage or buffer.... pero pwede rin kaya na yun ang ginamit ni andrew as the feedback triode?
