yung 2 kulay skyblue cylinder na dun sa amp, ano tawag dun capacititor? pwede din b palitan yun ng premium quality? whats the effect?

those are capacitors. changing them into premium parts may give positive results. no assurance though. better change all ordinary caps and make them premium.

merong parallel SE pero hindi triode. 'yung 807, 'lam ko parallel se 'yon. it can churn out 20WPC.

thanks bro...sige, will attend one of your listening sessions...AFAIK, each tube would have a different sound and will also depend on the circuit topology, like the 2A3 is for me a very "dynamic" and fast SET, the 300B is really lush for vocals...over-all performance still would be the EL34 ST-70 workhorse...really haven't heard (in my 3-years in audio) a tube amp which may achieve all of these, but that's me...i've never heard a SET amp with the dynamics of a push-pull, kasi iba talaga sila eh...iba rin music na bagay for each type of tube amp...for me, it's still the 300B, 2A3 and ST-70...for the pre-amp, the tono pre-amp is one of the best low-cost yet hi-end parts pre-amp i've heard/used...but i'm still amazed with the audible illusions and the antique sound lab especially the twinheads..., imagine 2A3 in your pre-amp???

well, talagang sa hobby natin, kanya-kanya...ika nga eh: to each his own...

i think wala for now but you can request him to design one for you...bro, medyo OT but dinolara is selling his Antique Sound Lab 300B SET monoblocks...check it out at wiredstate...thanks!
