The 807 SE Parallel Amp. Wow amp.
I had the opportunity of bringing home the 807 SE Parallel Amp & auditioning it with my own gear. What can I say? Just... Wow!
It has the same "syrupy sweet with grains of sand" sound similar to my 6V6 amp. So, "syrupy sweet with grains of sand & some stones" s'ya.
One of the lowdown of the amp is that it needs to properly warm up. Medyo bright kasi kung hindi pa warmed up. It may not be too pleasing to the ears. The magic starts, though, after 30 mins or so when it is already fully warmed up.
BTW, I auditioned the amp with the following gears:
1) Dahlquist DQ-10 & Klipsch RB-3 speakers
2) NAD 521 CD Player
3) El-Cheapo DIY interconnects, &
4) Audio Pro 12 gauge speaker wires.
The 807 SE amp at 20 wpc could be a good alternative to PP amps. But that's just me, of course.
