output transformers cannot share the same core.

thanks! so it's always at least 3 trafos pala... my scratch pad is full of layout drawings coz andrew usually asks what layout to use... i just wanted to know how many trafos should be there, coz i want a layout that is narrow and deep so it could fit in the same rack as my CDP and preamp (not much space left).

next question: is there an optimum layout for the trafos & tubes? sometimes i see some layouts where the power trafo & rectifier are in the middle, but in some cases they at the left side... sometimes the input terminals are at the front of the chassis.

the layouts are to combat noise and transformer interaction, i.e., 90 degrees off power and OPT.

inputs are in front sometime to avoid cris-crossing other wires and is shortest path to the input tubes. if the wiring is not messy, this is not an issue.

another component to consider is the choke.

the one assembling the amp should have the knowledge to make the layout ideal
