i am in total agreement with sir hans, the amount quoted as attached to a good quality amx amp would surely be tempting enough for us planning to own one.

and im quite sure my isa dito na bibili agad nyan!

sir how about a power amp? my budget is 15k (or less).... i already have an AMX preamp so an integrated amp has some added parts/cost i might not need.... if we remove the ALPS volume control and the input selector, and i provide the rectifier and driver tubes, magkano kaya aabutin ng EL84 push-pull? i have a spare 5U4G rectifier tube, and 2 pairs each of 12au7 and 12ax7 driver tubes.... also wondering if you can do a narrower chassis than the integrated EL84/pp on display in the store? i prefer the tubes to be closer together similar to my preamp or the duntonic EL84 amp... thanks! more power sir andrew....

syempre labidabs ko din ang 6v6, nasa plano talaga ang EL84 kahit early this year pre, na-delay lang ng konti dahil di ako nakapagpigil sa 6v6 hehe.

reference pa din natin yung former "precious" mo na Scott, na precious na ngayon ni kimpao, in terms of price/performance on the malambing side @<20k minus the tube upgrades ni master kimpao.

What about OTL -- like using two pairs of 6AS7's? Am not sure but hope it's not pricey, too (considering no OPTs required).
