Update:

I just completed the design. Built and breadboarded the circuit. I used 2 6L6gc and 1 12 ax7 per channel.Zero negative feedback, ultralinear connection, paraphase inverter, auto bias and I got 28 watts at onset of clipping, flat response from 30 to 15k but extended down to 20Hz and up to 18khz. Sound was mellow and warm as expected from 6L6. You can upgrade this by plugging in KT66 and get that classic tube sound. Input sensitivity for max output was 1.2volts.So you can use a passive preamp and get moderately loud sound on a 90 db sensitive speakers. I ordered also 6L6GC coke bottle. I was told it gives a very warm and sweet sound.
Next I will try to use EL34. But first I will try to run the 6L6 on 25 watts so it will run cool and really last long.

Will keep you posted. This is getting exciting.

Another update:

Tried good ol EL34, got slightly higher power output, posted 32 watts at clipping, which was rounded on the edge and maxed at 34 watts. Installed an AC balance pot, was able to lower total harmonic distortion down to 0.12% . The AC balance pot allowed me to use unmatched El34s and still trim down the distortion.

Now the sound is glassy and more transparent, and bass extension was lower on my Focal monitors.
I am starting to enjoy it better than the 6L6 but I will go back to it and retest, but as for todays experimentation it looks like El34 is winning.
