Its not that the Tono is not good anymore but rather we you might say have already "out-grown" it. The Tono was a great introduction to tubes (for me that is) having been silent in music for 3 years the Tono brought my interest to music back again. However bro as I again enjoyed listening to music I begin to explore again - like to try new things, alas but Tono preamp now seems limited. Thus my journey continues - again my next step, a different preamp, one with Bass and Treble, balance control and a working phone stage as well (preparing for a turntable). So now what have I use for 2 preamps - one definitely has to go. But regretably as I may, I have grown to like the sounds of the Tono.

Beside this I do need the proceed of my sale of the Tono to finance my new target in my journey - The Turntable hehehe

But kidding aside . . . I would recommend the Tono anytime of the day.

Microphonics cause feedback in sensitive tube circuits, especially phono stages.

Yes at last labas na lahat after almost a month of gestation. Nakakainis pero wala tayong magagawa dapat magbago.

First sample chassis also done, we are now assembling the first test unit from our prototype. BTW I added a TRIODE MODE switch, ganda kasi pag naka TRIODE MODE, kahit 15watts/channel lang, pero ganda. Sa ULpentode, 27.5 watts/ch. Bahala na ang user to choose, it will also depend on the loudspeaker sensitivity and how loud he wants to listen. Pero the triode mode is great for me.

Can AMX do a Push Pull 6550 tube integrated with

1 Built in Active preamp (Phone stage not need)
2 Switch that choose between tube recitfication or Solid state rectification for the power supply...is this even possible ?
3. Volume control lang.. no balance, bass or treble necessary
4. 3 input capability

I remember before Mr Andrew made a SS & tube rectified amp using EL34 tube switch lang katapat.. as for kasama na linestage kaya din yun price na lang contact Phasetron for details.
