Got update from AMX

Lapit na raw last week of Feb or 1st week March meron na and ready for auditioning..

anyone here who can recommend a specific model of AMX integrated amp that can play rock and jazz music at best?

im hunting an integrated tube amp right now.

heard some of the pushpulls. if you have fairly sensitive speakers (around 90db), even an 8watt SET can rock as much.

Thanks eXg. I got a 91 dB Mission M74 floorstander to use. saw an amx integrated SET amp using an 807 tube, satisfied with its performance at 15 watts but just not so sure if the 807 is really meant to rock.

807 is a penthode tube. So it is Single Ended Penthode!

Get EL34 it can play your type of music with GUSTO!

An PP El34 based tube with SS rectification should do you well.. but if you really want to rock... go for a 6550 based tube amp...

807 is good. i suggest you go for a PP though if you want to rock.

Tube amp that rocks. We have it now (again). It uses KT88, pushpull configuration, UL fixed bias, solid state rectified (It has to be if you want it to really rock). Power output is 50 watts per channel, to tal 100 watts. Whats more ,coming out very soon, the rebirth of our 100 watts per channel power amplifier with 4 pairs El34 in fixed bias.

Wow... 50 watts is good enough, how much more is 100. anybody tried the AMX 50 watts ?

First 5 units now in production. 28 watts/channel before clipping is the continous rating in Ultralinear mode. 15 watts/channel intriode mode.Out of the first five 2 will be integrated with our new linestage (active) using 6NIP twin triode which can be upgraded by you to 6DJ8 or 6922.

50 watts/channel integrated using KT88s now in Makati, selling for only P24,000.00.

Chief, pwede yan. Sound wise, big improvement. My scott 222A is currently connected to an AMX preamp. Better mids and highs. Composure and soundstage is nice. Detail and separation of instruments are precise although sometimes instruments can be very analytical at first (i guess this depends on what tubes you're using).

Can you connect a pre-amp to an integrated amp? You can but it is possible to overdrive the integrated amp,> It is possible to have too much audio gain, but it will all depend on the charcteristic of the integrated amp and the gain of the pre=amp. But at the end of the day, why should you? Is your integrated amp lacking in audio gain ? If so then feel free.

Im interested to use the amx for my bedroom as an integrated amp, but I want to install it in my audio setup once in a while. Im using a CJ PV5 preamp.

AMX have 2 kinds of integrated 1 with passive volume pot and 1 with linestage. so yun passive pot is like power amp na meron volume control just like my amp and jetok's amp.
