Karamihan ng media players na nakikita ko locally have multisystem outputs. Check mo din yung gagamitin mo.

Saka kung HDMI po gagamitin niyo, most TVs will accept yan maski 50Hz or 60Hz ang source.

I remembered Sydney Australia is using PAL (50Hz). Unless the TV is multi-system, NTSC or PAL should both be supported. NMTs have settings for this. It should take care of converting the movies to the video output set on the NMT.

HDMI Auto lets it handshake with the TV

Yes it does, if the NMT have such feature/setting. That would be easiest for newbies.

For me, I set the NMT to the video out resolution that I want. So that the NMT doesn't upscale the movie material unneccesarily. Although my 24" LED TV is 1080p reso, but my movie material is 720p reso, I would still set my video output to 720p.

Yup the NMT's should play no problem on those aussie tv's. Their av inputs both accept ntsc and pal.
84" 100" 120" 150" Motorized or Manual Projector Screens still available. Just pm.

im not sure which NMT to get. thinking of measy A1HD, para maliit lang and discreet. also ordered a portable 1TB external hdd again apra discreet.

sana walang maging problema once connected to the TV. ;)

likely walang issue sa pagdala ng NMT sa Australia.  I hand carried an Xtreamer when I went to Sydney in 2010.  Di naman pinansin, yung size kasi parang portable disk lang.  I brought it to catch-up watching on my downloaded tv series and movies while on the hotel, medyo boring kasi dyan after office hours, sarado na mga malls.

Mahigpit sila pag food items.
