I got myself an LG 42LW5000 from Sns yesterday for 47K. Thanks to John-John for the great assistance. The LED TV came with 11 pairs of 3D eyeglasses and a wall bracket. It also comes with a 3D bluray disc player (BD-660) which I will redeem in two weeks time. Already tried some downloaded 3d samples and it had been great! Now tinkering to get the best settings.

As far as i know, it's a package e. I also considered other sellers but they were not offering the bluray player at the price SnS quoted for me. They wanted it to be an extra purchase aside from the tv which they priced at the same one SnS quoted. The only downside to the TV, if you consider it a downside, is that magic remote won't work.

Should have gotten this instead of the LW5700. I think the smart tv connotation is too overrated unless you intend to keep your tv always on. I don't even find any use for the magic remote,

Agree. And I think the smart tv feature is not worth the huge price difference between the two models.

It acts as a mouse and activates the cursor. You still have the conventional remote. So its like a redundant remote.

sa canada meron 55 inch neto...sana they bring the bigger sizes here locally. i really don't find any use for the smart tv feature anyway

Plus 1... been looking also for either a 47 or 55 incher of this model, wala talaga may dala dito...

Already inquired every store i know wala talaga including Sir Vic of S and S

i agree as well. good thing i chose 42LW5000 over 42LW5700. Smart TVs needs more convincing features to justify their price difference. but i didn't availed the 3D blu ray player kasi may NMT player naman. mas nakatipid ako kasi pumayag si Vic na ibawas sa price.

I have the 42LW5700 (which came with the wifi dongle and magic remote) and was unaware that there is a LW5000 version when I made my purchase. Had I known this I would have gotten the latter instead and saved 20k.

I haven't gotten the BD-660 via redemption a good one month from purchase at SnS. seems the problem is with LG. Hope i get it already.
