Topic: Samsung 32D403 or LG 32LK310?

I am asked to recommend a budget TV, with the use for local antenna, and analog cable TV (sa probinsya) to replace an old CRT TV. Budget more or less is 14k, but if worth it, may be higher. LED TV would have been the preference but the budget limits the choices to an LCD TV. Known Branded TVs only.

So far, the ff have been recommended:
Samsung 32D403
LG 32LK310

what are the pros and cons between these two? any users who can give feedback? any other options?

I'd go with the LG 32LK310. its picture quality is okay. plus it has lots of connectors at the back and side.

my mom recently got the Samsung 32D4003 for 20900 (card). it's slim, light, and LED-backlit. why is it cheap?    that's coz it only has the bare essential connectors at the back! (1 HDMI, 1 USB, Component In (Y/ Pb/ Pr), Composite In (AV) x 1 (Common Use for Component Y), 1 PC Audio In (Mini Jack), 1 DVI Audio In (Mini Jack) x1 (Common use for PC Audio Input))

btw, you can get an LG 32LK310 for just 13500 now.

@DTNS: Thanks! That's what I've been waiting to hear. I've personally seen the performance of the 32D403 and I was not wowed by it, been wondering if the 32LK310 is worse, better or the same.

My take on the 32D403 Picture Quality: the Normal setting is still too bright, while the Dynamic mode has too much contrast. The Movie mode seems to be the only one not hard on the eyes... Pros: I like the sound, the black piano finish.

Durability & reliability of LG vs Samsung at this level seems to be equal since both have posts in youtube complaining of flicker defect.

Any other user experiences?

Go for LG32LK310 and you can get it from SNS for only for 12,500.
Eto no. nila 634-1789 to 90 try mo pa tumawad.
Panalo to sa analog cable di mo pa kailangang i rechannel kasi NTSC na.

Yes. I have LG (42LW5000 & 26LV2500) & Toshiba (32AV700 w/ signal booster) but LG wins in analog signal. Para ka na ring naka SD digibox. Make sure lang na maayos ang connection mo ng cable.

Using LG 32K10 for analog cable viewing and it gives great pictures despite its cheap price. Just dont expect too much on its USB playback capability because its crap. Also, additional tweaking of picture setting is needed to get the best image.
