That was my mistake -- I wired mine with an HDMI 1.3 + rear speaker cables to the ceiling from the floor (wood flooring kasi pede via floor), running on a 1", I'm stuck with it  now that i plan to go HDMI 1.4.

ok ang 2" na PVC (forget flexihose), straight paths ang layout and ask that the joints be scored and use contact cement para walang galaw sa joints come hatakan.

Take pictures before they close the ceiling, para you can go back and review.

Pwede po kayo gumamit ng plastic moldings. Madami po nito sa Ace Hardware at Handyman. Available in different sizes.

yong PVC na gamitin ba dapat yong solid lang and not the accordion type?  maalala ko kasi sa present HT ko now, accordion type na PVC ginamit ng contractor ko.. What do you mean by "joints be scored" sir toys4geeks?

solid PVC wag accordion, ok yan if one time big time ang cabling mo pero if you plan to pull wires and replace, use the 2" PVC pipes.

Usually pipes and elbows will hold when forced, pero over time, siempre luluwag ang joints sa elbow and PVC pipe. what you need to make sure is you score/scratch with a filer or a lagaring bakal , soak with PVC contact cement ba yun(?) (clear ito, much like what you use for plumbing)

use the orange one and take good brands ng PVC

May contractor ba kayo na pwede recommend to help me w/ my unit's set-up (cable management and ceiling/wall mounting)?

Sa ceiling pla at ayaw mong sirain ang kesame, add wood or PVC cornice or moulding to run/hide the cables. HTH    :)
