HTPC w/ BD or PS3

Hi guys! I need your suggestions. I'm considering either building an htpc with a blu-ray drive, or getting a PS3 and using it as a blu-ray player. (+gaming of course!)

I canvassed parts prices and found that his build would cost me around 19500:

Generic Case
Antec VP450 PSU
ASRock H61M-VS
Intel Pentium G620 2.6Ghz Dual-Core
4GB DDR3 1333
HD 6570 1GB DDR3 video card
40GB Intel SATA3 SSD
Samsung SH-B123L blu-ray combo drive

I also canvassed PS3 prices and found that they costs from 12-16k, depending on spec and the store.

which would you recommend and why? also, would you suggest stand-alone players too?

get a htpc much more functional and upgradable + a stand alone bdplayer

PC for much better video quality and flexibility. PS3 for simplicity and ease of use.
