I also wish we can have couponing locally but I've been told it's hard to implement here because advertisers want an assurance of a high circulation and even if we have a large population, not everyone will buy publications that have coupons. Couponing will also force publications to reveal their real print runs, which publication companies won't ever do.

Sa US pag tumingin ka ng sunday papers andami pages na may coupons. Minsan may cars pa selling with huge discounts - madalas mga hard to sell colors and trims, pero di naka indicate explicitly sa coupon (disclaimer lang). Siyempre it increases lot traffic dahil yung posted price is 15-20% lower than yung normal selling price. Pag punta mo sa lot, eh pag di mo type yung color makakausap mo pa rin yung salesman na bebentahan ka ng ibang kulay/trim.

pero nakakabilib talaga yung amount paid compared to the grocery quantity nila.

may napanood pa akong episode dati na yung store pa ang nagkautang ng $5 sa customer.
since di pwede mag-refund, ibinili nya ng chocolate bars tas pinamigay sa ibang customers.
in short, she paid nothing for a grocery worth roughly $700.

And there are actually people in the US who are into this to save on grocery money. According to our business analysts, theres at least 1-3 customers who are into this for every grocery store that we have.

Yep, I can't discount the possibility na totoo siya. Sa Sacramento Bee pa lang sangkaterbang coupons na. Before, you have to get the Sunday paper to clip them out, ngayon online na lahat print mo na lang. Minsan may rebates pa on top of the coupon discount.
