Question lang regarding the Daichi Euros 8:

1) What's the best amp to pair this with?

Dunno about the best amp, but I'm currently using a Sakura AVR387a.  If everything proceeds as planned, I may be able to replace the Sakura with an HK AVR.

2) Are these speakers considered as bright or warm? Or sa receiver/amp lang yun naga-apply?
3) Meron akong nabasa dito regarding the Euros 8 and "Studio Acoustics".
4) Meron bang news regarding a sale for Euros 8. Pa-share naman.

Thanks a lot sa lahat ng answers nyo.  ;D

See sir arthurallanj's answers.  ;D

My setup is currently a chopseuy of sorts: Sakura AVR387a, Euros8 towers as fronts, Definitive Technology C/L/R 2300 as center, a pair of speakers from an old Sony FH mini-compo as rears and a DTX 4.12 (subwoofer).  It may not be timbre-matched, but my untrained ears can't tell that.  ;)

Thanks sir! So I guess it being "sweet" is a good thing?  ;D I'll try to contact them and see if they have any ongoing sale. Last question lang mga bro...

I have a Sakura 387 and its fronts are 250W x 2. It is safe to use this amp for the Euros 8 right? No moolah yet for a branded receiver eh. Thanks!

Yes, you can use the Sakura AV387a with the Euros8 towers.  See my post above for details of my setup.  ::)

But since the towers are still at the break-in phase, I have only gone up to -10 db.  (This was during New Year's Eve)

Thanks X-Ran! Would love to see a picture of your setup and ArthurAllanJ's as well. It's been a long, long wait for me and I'm really hoping that I can buy even the fronts lang muna this time. I just renovated our apartment you see and I have already taken care of wire management and all that stuff. Kulang na lang talaga are the speakers and wires themselves. Just called up Daiichi Mega and 7K pa rin yung Euros 8.

I can't take decent pics right now... nagloko kasi yung digicam ko.. and sa HT napunta yung pambili ng pamalit.  :D

But I'm open to letting you hear my humble setup, I'm in Cainta btw.

I just visited Daiichi Megamall, I was able to check those Euros8 Towers.   Grabe!!! Those speakers really rock and at that price, sulit talaga sya.  Bilib na ako sa Gawang Pinoy!  :) :) :)

I bought Euros8 bookshelves for my surrounds, naka-sale kasi.   Puede na sya....it's really a bang for your buck.

Pero, I would really recommend those Towers. ;D ;D ;D

The only magnetically shielded speaker system that the Euros 8 series has is the center, just like any other Daiichi HT speaker series. So, of course, your tv will be affected since the bookshelf speakers aren't magnetically shielded.  ;)

Mas kayang dalhin and mas mura yata pag doon bumili. May discount pa kung mag name-dropping ka. Diba sir ArthurAllanJ?  ;)

Hmmm..

3,500 ang regular price sa Mega, 4,000 yata sa raon.  Pero I got mine at 2,900....last pair na yata yun.  Sayang nga kasi mas mababa pa raw yun nung nag-sale sila sa Mega last year.

Nagpunta rin ako doon last Monday. Merong ngang some items for sale. I saw a DTX tower, US Audio Sub, Some towers na maple, most probably, Euros 5 or 6. Also some DTX bookshelves.

Kaya lang hindi sale yung pinaka-aabangan ko  :-\ :-[ The Euros 8! :'(
Ang bigay nila is still 7K at wala na silang stock ng centers and bookshelves. Matagal pa raw dadating.

Saw a new Euros Model. The Studio Acoustic EurosFD. Iba yung cone nya, hindi paper. Kevlar(?) daw sabi nung salesman. Pero mukhang hindi. Mas maliit siya sa Euros 8 pero it has 3 midbass (?) drivers. Mukhang okay din.

Yun lang po ang update. Ciao!

Bro fweyd,

That's great. I'm only worried about the effect of the vibrations of the speakers on your tv. I think an inch of space, at least, between the speakers and the tv should be considered. Just me, bro.  ;D

To play it safe, get the Euros 8 center. Although, I am using the a pair of Wharfedale WH-2s with a pair of DTX 9.5 BSs as surrounds and they have a very similar timbre. I've done some tests and they sound seamless to me. But that's just me.  ;D

Congrats Hanns1976! Welcome to the Euros Club! ;D

Truly bang for the buck ang Euros 8 towers. At least meron ka ng center speaker. Bought my Euros 8 towers and Bookshelves for 10K total sa Mega last Feb. 12. Totoo nga ang sabi nila, the sound gets better and better kapag nabe-break-in. Kulang ko na lang is a Center and a Sub. Pero come to think of it, what more kung may sub diba? Whew!  ;D Totoo mas mura nga sa Mega kaysa sa Raon. Went scouting there bago ako bumili eh. Mahal sa kanila yung towers. So I opted to buy sa Mega plus mas malapit and madaling isakay sa car kapag doon.
Receiver ko is only a Sakura 387 and okay na for me pero I'm sure mas okay kung HK or Yammy receiver.
Bought some AudioPro Interconnects, and Gauge 14 wires, okay na okay na. No complaints. Enjoy!

I will, hopefully hindi ako ma-disappoint ulit. I have been using Dai-Ichi speakers for my speaker diy itch ever since I was in grade school.

Last year I was scouting for a bookshelf (busy to diy), fortunately this was the season when we were conducting sessions sa bundok and were shooting out different bookshelfs. I was just looking for something that doesn't lie, as natural as possible since I'll be using it to test my amp projects and of course reacheable by my wallet. So then I went and auditioned at raon and mega but unfortunately my ears didn't agree so there goes the story.

 :)

Re: Dai-ichi Speakers & sub
« Reply #1439 on: Mar 18, 2006 at 10:56 PM »

Well, kahit ano pa opinion nyo, sana po paki post. I'd like to know po sana how u wud rate and describe it pag na audition nyo na. Although subjectiv naman yan, your opinion matters to me. Sir ha paki post ha? Salamat!
