I watch all the CSI installments. Right now, I still rack the original CSI as the best...it's not just the case, there are also personal issues and conflicts within the characters that add light to the show. The recent split of Grissom's team was a shocker. Willows finally becomes a supervisor and Grissom is again caught in the political maneuverings of Eckley. Probably because they have been there for 4 seasons already that's why they can instill more story to the show.

Next is CSI:NY. The dark setting is typical New York. Some might not like it but it just blends with the setting, the same way how CSI:Miami blends with the setting of Miami...sunny and bright! Gary Sinise carries the show very well. The initial episodes did not really showed much but, recent episodes are enticing.

CSI:Miami is my least favorite. But I still watch it! Hehe!  ;D

I am now a fan-girl of NY.

I've seen almost all of the NY eps (last four na lang) and I can say that I'm in lababo with Mac and Stella and Danny and Aiden and Flack and Hawkes  ;D  But especially with Mac.  Aside from the Gary!Hotness, I like him better than Griss when it comes to "supervising" - he seems to be more involved with his people. To paraphrase a poster at the CSITalks forum, Griss lets his kids come out and discover the world on their own (while making his own experiments) while Detective Mac is a "coach" somewhat. I love how he handled Aiden's sumbong in Officer Blue.

Also, another thing I love is the cast's chemistry. It's like they've been friends for quite awhile. I wasn't that surprised when a friend told me that one of the producers (Zuiker, was it?) said that this second spinoff will be more character-driven than the other two. I think they hit the nail on the head on that aspect, so much so that some of their cases are definitely less interesting than the ones in Vegas. But hey, Vegas can have all the mind-twisting cases as long as I have my Mac & Stella (ahh, the shipper in me emerges)  ;D

I can't believe the season's over! (in the States, at least).  Le sigh.

I'm really looking forward to watching CSI's 5th season finale, a two-hour special directed by Quentin Tarantino. From the episode description: The separated CSIs are reunited for what could be the final time, as a criminal mastermind bent on revenge abducts and buries one of them inside a coffin.

Inside the coffin is a loaded gun and a recording, urging the trapped CSI to commit suicide or face a slow, suffocating death, as the rest of the CSI team frantically tries to locate and rescue their missing teammate.

So who's the kidnapped CSI? Can't wait...

*edit* Just saw the trailer, now I know who the kidnapped CSI is--but the big question is, will the CSI team be missing one member next season?

after catching up with csi vegas, i liked it more than the two!  medyo technical and may sense yung episodes, galing din ng delivery ng characters.  iba rin humor ni grissom and other csi agents.
what?! are you talkin' to me!!!

CSI Las Vegas season finale is great.  Distinctly Tarantino in a CSI universe.  Tense and funny.

i think the finale will be shown here on July 27 based on this season's episode listing. the finale's really a must-see. 2 hours of suspense and a bit of humor. galing ni tarantino. :)

Anyone watched the finale?  Awesome.  If you have claustrophobia, even just a bit, don't watch.  :o

I agree :D

every character were perfectly used. and because you're so caught up with the story, with each character and their frustrations, you'll never notice that you're watching a two-hour episode.

as expected, Tarantino used his trademark "Pulp-Fiction-conversation" - when Catherine's father was engaging in conversation with some friends in the casino.  ;)

I love all of them...  ;D But #1 for me is Las Vegas. Though Miami has more "shots fired" than Las Vegas (I haven't finished watching NY), I still like LV for the reason that CSI is trully about science and not flying bullets or eye-candy. For me, the more science, the better and LV seems to have more.

I just hope I'm not disappointed with CSI:NY

 ;D ;D

I totally agree with you. I always learn something new whenever I watch CSI-LV. CSI-NY comes in 2nd.

ngayon lang ako nagkaron ng chance manood ng CSI Miami...  comments ko lang...
- i don't like the characters in Miami
- i hate their exchange of one-liners, ang yayabang ng dating (sa Las Vegas nakakatuwa)
- yabang ng dating ni Horatio
- lahat nalang si Horatio, lahat nalang alam niya!

don't know why i am still watching the series though

nothing beats the original, a lot can be said about both shows but they have their own strengths, pero iba dating ng csi las vegas, nakakairita kasi si caruso, ang arte minsan.  bakit ba kailangan siya laging naka shades o kapag me sasabihing important e isusuot muna shades.  masyado siyang pa melodramatic effect although astig din naman siya in some ways pero mas trip ko dating ni grissom.  let's put it this way, kung merong grissom at caine na axn figures, id buy grissom's...

A few months ago, I read that there's going to be two other CSI franchises in the next 4 years:  CSI NEW ORLEANS and one other unnamed city. I dunno if true but, could this be the unnamed city?:

That's CSI - Olongapo.

 ;D

sir, we also have CSI Dagupan here  ;D

^^LOL.

While they might have previously thought of expanding the franchise beyond New York, the not-so-good ratings of CSI:NY was a kind of wakeupper for the producers, forcing them to reformat the show (no more bluish tint, etc.) So don't expect any more CSI shows just yet.

CSI Las Vegas                        = Nothing beats the original   ;)
(but for me the original of this genra is Medical Detectives from Discovery Channel)
Gill is too much MATALINO ::)

CSI Miami                       = Fast story lines regarding sa lifes ng mga characters :)
(I thought 3rd season finale was the last episode coz it wraps up their story)
( I mostly hate when Speed was killed {anyone can be killed by a gunshot..LAME LAME LAME! ;D)
Caine is too much MABAIT :D

CSI New York                      = Dark and Gothic settings parang Batman ;D
                         Great Lab Equipment so advance
Det.Taylor parang laging GALIT!! Laging nanlalaki ang mga mata :o

CSI Hawaii                =  Main Characters, Casts ng Baywatch hehehe 8)
                      David Hasselhoff leading the team
COD(Cause of Death) Mostly drowning  :'(

He died because his gun JAMMED ! AGAIN!!
Maganda sana kung napatay sya sa setting ng CSI Las Vegas- Grave Danger S5 E24-25 (Directed by Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Kaya may Black and White na Scenes at Comedy pa! Autopsy Scene ni Nick Stokes) BUT NICK SURVIVED!!
Dun sya sa place ni Nick Stokes Very Dramatic ang ending .The killer killed himself
by planting a bomb in his own body together with $1,000,0000 WOW! Kaso parang hindi pinaghandaan ng mga writers yung pagkakapatay kay Speed! Again...LAME LAME LAME!

Pero sa Season 6 ng CSI Las Vegas .. may clue pa na may kasabwat yung KILLER ... Hmnnnn ???

I was browsing at one of the online stores this morning and saw a dvd of CSI: Grave Danger - The Tarantino Episodes... does this mean the 2-part finale won't be included in the Season 5 dvd release?
