Video board found to be OK and it is a Panel issue, offered a replacement, but  I asked if the Panel is still replaceable and that will make the TV brand new.

As for you guys what will you choose? Get it replaced?

On my thought I would like them to give me a service unit and wait until the Panel get replaced.

Better get service unit and wait for panel to be replaced.  Vt30 is still a great plasma tv.

Yeah I made that choice, cannot find any 39k TV out there to best this TV, and they are all a downgrade and even an upsell for the Price. Direct TV seems become thicker and Plastic body, no one can match the body and glass of this TV. Replacing the panel will make the TV brand new.

Just for an update, I chose to replace the Panny with the Sony W804, just like they said, go for the 2 yrs warranty instead of the unit that will last for about 3 months. It's a hard decision but it will be ok, no worries for about two years. This would be my first and last Plasma unless VT60 is out there at like this price.

Vic of SNS pulled through and I got a Panasonic Service center contact in the province. now scheduling to have it diagnosed and hopefully get the defective part replaced. I will update this thread for the progress.

thats good news... its really an advantage to buy from reputable stores such as SnS because of their after sales support..

me too... electronic devices should carry at least 2 years... if other non primary brands can offer 2 years or more... panasonic, having its reputation and quality, could and should easily afford to offer 2 years warranty.... SONY and SAMSUNG LG offers more than 1 year warranty... why can't panasonic do the same?

same here... i really like the VT30 very much and am very confident and sure with SnS (sir vic's) after service support... kaya na ka bill din ako ng PANA even if i was seriously considering a SONY... because of the 2 year warranty...

so far so good... VT30 is still going strong :D

Was only charged 1K for the service including pick-up and delivery of the unit. Loose soldering lang daw and good as new na siya. Kudos to Vic of SNS and for the Pana Service Center in Cauayan, Isabela.  At least may peace of mind na ako na there is a reliable service center near us who can look after our gears. Happily gave 1.5K + free lunch pa because of the excellent service. :)

Thanks mga bros. I'm from Tuguegarao not Isabela pero its only 2 hours naman. Sulit pa din rather than bringing it in Manila to be repaired.

15 months later and my Vt30 is still perfect. I have had zero issues.  Love the Panny plasma and am sad to hear they will stop production.  I really prefer the picture over LED.  To me Plasma is pure and life like while LED is larger than life.

Magaganda ang reviews about Panasonic Plasmas. Magkano ba bili nyo ng TV na toh that time, i read na 39k sa SnS back in 2012. Both 3D naman. Perfect pa ang Plasma since sa kwarto ko sya ilalagay at medyo madilim sya kahit daylight dahil isang regular sized window lang at dark colord ang curtains, siguro kung black curtains or drapes na lang para totally dark ang room for better cinema like feel.

Yes the 42VT30 is an ideal tv for the room... perfect size and PQ...

At 31K it is really a good price... IF YOU CAN STILL FIND ONE...

HAHAHAHA!

You are better off finding newer models at the same price. Wala ka na siguro makikitang VT30 nowadays.
