Lonely new year to me!

My 42VT30 has gotten the 1 pixel sized magenta/reddish purple verticle line that is visible on the full width of the screen.

I did some googling and I read in a post na plasma panel na daw may sira kapag ganito yung issue.

Anyone else na may problem na ganito and were you able to have it fixed?

1000+ hours palang si VT30 ko when I checked the service menu.  To add insult to injury,  kakabili ko lang ng PS4 after a couple of days lumabas na si vertical line.  Haaaaay...

SET IT UP THE OTHER DAY.  WATCHED 2 BD AND ANALOG SKY CABLE. SO FAR SO VERY GOOD.  BEAUTIFUL PQ AND REAL BLACK "BLACKS".  OF COURSE THE SOUND QUALITY IS POOR BUT AIN'T IT ALWAYS WITH PANNY PLASMA.

Ok...so here I am 8 years after starting this thread.  I must say this Plasma has been great for HD and standard def. I never used it for 3D viewing in fact my 3D glasses are still in the box. Yesterday  my penny Fritzed out.  It powers on with green light but with seconds I get the dreaded 7 blinking red lights on the power button. Anyone else have this problem on this unit or other high end Panny Plasma?  Any recommendations?

8 Years life span was not bad. I downsized my residence recently. I have an older Panny TH-42PV80H which  has been set to one side and not used for over  1 year.  It has now replaced my 42VT30 and is working well and PQ looks  good enough.  I consider myself so lucky to have it.

I welcome all your feedback and comments.

A lot of appliances are conking out during this ECQ months. Might be of age or overworked. kinda OT but my daughter's room her Panasonic aircon is a bit tired of giving a strong cooling in her room. The air we give out to blow a candle is much stronger than her a/c is giving.  ;D

After you have it fixed I would appreciate if you could post the "remedy" and the cost involved.

Have a great day.
