according to the oridinal design eh bass reflex lang yung big bs, so walang partition ang loob nyan. Alam ko eh meron yata akong naitagong measurement nito eh. Mahanap.nga!

Thanks soundgarden for including my design sa "The Best of...". It is really an honor to be in the list.  Pero nakakahiya yung pic at hubad pa siya. Here's the latest iteration, though, still not fully finished yet. Kumbaga naka-bikini pa lang, hehe.



As I said earlier, it'll be wrapped in 2 tone veneer: teak on the sides and ebony in the middle. I'm still thinking whether to do a super glossy or satin finish. The back part will be painted in black. Again, either in glossy or satin. Medyo matagal kong gagawin yung back kasi mamasilyahan ko pa para pantay na pantay ung surface, otherwise, a glossy finish won't look good.

It was sounding good then already, but, I feel the detail of the soundstage on the sides is not as defined as my center image. So, I customized these acoustic panels to cure that problem. The cones on the center of the panel adds a few more decibels and wider dispersion of the sound. I have to move my skyline diffuser (center) forward also to match the sides' output. Now I have balanced output from end to end. Wall to wall na soundstage ko ngayon. Sakto may session tomorrow.

I will keep you posted on the development of these AN Super 8 Hybrid OBs.

actually, audio nirvana alnico speakers, are designed to be placed on a big bs config. Based naman sa amplification, its not really tube amps that makes alnico shine, kahit anong amp kasi can make this speakers shine depending on your preference. Ive used t amp, ss and SET i like them all.

If you'll listen to them side by side, Goldie (horns). sounds smoother in the mids and highs, while, this OB, sound raw, closer to a " live" sound. I find it more layered. They're about even in the bass dept having almost the same cabinet design. Overall, it's a matter of preference. Toss coin na lang 

Check out " alnico for adults only" thread. I will post a new fr design there in a while. It's the resurrected Sony 4" fr in new sheep's clothing.

If Val will oblige, yes, I'm game. But, for sure, you'll get to see at least a pair from me at the WS DIY Challenge. That will be really exciting. Ako at si tonyt ang mga underdog doon with the likes of Harana, trodt, Rene Rivo and a host of great diyers in the field.Ok lang kahit hindi manalo. The experience alone is enough.

Magsasama na lang ako ng mga tagapalakpak at tagasigaw ko: Nelson, billabong, narayan, Tirso at marami pang iba. Hehe

No comment pa ako sa OB design for audio nirvana. May gapang talaga once you put it in the corner. Anyone with simple knowledge in carpentry can do an Open baffle for your AN. Brader Mon pa post naman yong OB design na kinopya ko.
