Common capacitor values
« on: Sep 11, 2012 at 05:13 AM »
Why is it that the following capacitor values seems to be common in use

470, 4.7,47  2200, 220, 2.2, 10,1,100,1000..

but the other values are not so common

like I dont see any 46,.46,460,45,.45,450, 21, 21,210, .. etc...

or sa amp ko lang ito ?

210, 453, & 464 are in the E96 series. perhaps they are the ones spec'ed with high-precision/low-tolerance?

lets wait for the ECEs to chime in...

naku po...this is history, long before  our parents were born.....electronics manufactures agreed on a set of standards so that many manufacturers can supply parts that conform to a common set of values........ ;D
