My Sonogy Cantata power amp is using 4pcs of 22000uf 63v caps in the output stage. The driver stage has it's own transformer and 2pcs of 3300uf 100v caps on each channel. I had replaced all of them including the rest of the e-caps to either cerafine or blackgates. The bypass caps for the powercaps was changed from Wima MKP to Mundorf Supreme.

I did all those replacement for improved performance and better reliability.

i'm planning to use Cerafine (Elna) for the Jamicon but the height of the 10Kuf/63V is around 50mm (orig 40mm) the diameter is correct 35mm. I'm not sure if enough space for the Amp cover. The Mundorf m-lytic is 30mm x 50mm.

Bro, additional tweak you could do. On the picture above, you could see a 2 watt resistor and a red capacitor (mylar???) beside the coil. This could be a zobel network going to the speaker output. Try to see if you could trace the circuit.

I did that tweak to a Perreaux amp before by replacing the caps with an Auricap and the resistor to Kiwame. It gave a very nice improvement. I got this idea from one of the suggested tweaks for those big Aragon amps like the 8008BB.

Bro Rascal Yes it's good! However, I found that using Coax connection is better than the optical.

After 200 Hours of Burn in, MF Trivista DAC21 features Full blown dramatic Details and one of The best Digital Source I heard. Comparable to expensive CD/DAC around. Anybody want to listen and want a shoot out, seems my DAC is ready!

It's Musical Fidelity DAC 21. Browndog Adpator cost me $3 (plus shipping). The Opamp each cost $22 (plus shipping).

Next in line Burson Audio HD OpAmp. I need to know what makes the discrete sounds better. It might be like STK IC amp versus the discrete (Transistor) Amp.
