darn! what were they thinking??!! Jensen and a 2nd round draft pick? Urbiztondo is not that valuable. sana big man na lang kinuha nila.

That was a crazy move by Ginebra...
Kung kukuha din pala sila ng PG bakit pa nila pinakawalan si Mike Cortez... ???

Fil-Am

oo nga. read somewhere just now.

the reason i asked was i had this thought on why they released jensen (a fil-am). rumors are prevalent kasi that Asi and/or Menk will be playing for ginebra. releasing jensen would make their fil-foreign players to 4 thereby allowing them to acquire Menk or Asi. obviously, i'm wrong.

i still cannot understand why they acquired urbiztondo. masyadong lugi ang ginebra. and how can he help BGSM in the quarters when he has yet to fit the system and jell with the rest of the team. baka makasira pa sya. or baka hindi din sya magamit. look at Taha. as the cliche goes, mas madalas pa ang ulan sa sahara kesa sa paglalaro ni Taha.

Yeah pwede din...
Sayang talaga.

All SMC teams now with one foot out the door. Petron and San Mig Coffee in a do-or-die situation. Ginebra, on the other hand, is looking like they're about to go out. They're down 15 in the 3rd and if they don't wake up soon, maagang bakasyon na naman at the hands of RoS.

EDIT: And they did wake up. Ginebra now up 1 after being down 15.

Naunahan pa ng 3rd seed Petron ang 7th seed Ginebra ma-eliminate. Petron once again loses a playoff series to TNT.

Petron wasn't able to fully recover after that Balkman incident.

If Balkman was there i think Petron has a chance in making into the semis.

yan ang magiging problema ni urbiztondo. pagbalik ni caguioa, sigurado mababangko na naman yan. we have to remember the reason why they supposedly acquired josh --- to fill the void left by caguioa. i'm thinking (and i hope i'm right :) ) josh will be eventually traded when caguioa returns(to his old game)

If Balkman was there i think Petron has a chance in making into the semis.

Henry Simms played too much on the outside, settling for jump shots where other imports would have drove in. He may have been a good fit for the team, allowing Junmar Fajardo to play more minutes at the center spot while he played four. Unfortunately, what the team needed was a go-to-guy during clutch moments.

Though Petron is made up of superstars, they do not have a point guard in the mold of a Jimmy Alapag, Jason Castro, LA Tenorio or JV Casio who would not be afraid to take the crucial shots when needed. Cabagnot can play great for almost the whole game but come crucial moments simply disappears.

Petron does not have a two, three or four in the mold of a James Yap, Mark Caguoia, Gary David, Cyrus Baguio or even Macmac Cardona who demand the ball come crucial time. These players can drive to the hoop or hit the three when left alone. These players are slashers, shooters and scorers rolled into one. Santos, Washington, Lutz, Lassiter, Tubid, Yeo do not fit the mold.

Unless Petron finds someone the other players would be willing to play second fiddle to, or learn to play team ball like RoS, or learn to trust each other like the way TnT players trust in each other, (Alaska is starting to show the same trust), they would always find it difficult to finish games even when leading by large margins.

Once again, PETRON has proven that too many cooks will spoil the broth ..... karma is indeed a b*tch for Loverboy Eala.  ;D

Seriously, too many "name" players with too few minutes to be spread around.

The unfortunate thing with PETRON, their primary take-charge-guy Cabagnot hogs the ball and runs the hero-ball play way too much.

I've always said that PETRON should've never let go of valuable role players such as Duncil, Pennisi, etc .... even Hubalde ...... these are players who are usually effective even without the basketball.

Expect more fantasy trades from Eala ....... he has the rosters of BARAKO BULL, AIR21 & GPORT to play around with. Don't be surprised if Gary David is "suddenly" traded to an SMCorp team soon.

That has got to be the most painful miss in Jeff Chan's career. He was all alone for that putback!

RoS should go back to that game they lost vs Alaska for the number 1 seed. If they won that, they could have avoided Ginebra in the quarters.

they had to beat rain or shine twice.....and twice did they beat them. great game.

That has got to be the most painful miss in Jeff Chan's career. He was all alone for that putback!

definitely...and he even used his left hand! the frustration is so evident on his face after the final buzzer sounded. he must be blaming himself till now.

the match-up between tiu and tenorio was fun to watch. they were very physical against each other. but it seems they were enjoying it. pangiti-ngiti pa sila.

on to the semis against talk and text....

sa nakinabang at humakot sa ht at audio set-up ko na ipinundar ko MAG-ISA, may balik yan......
