Pls Help Me Choose a 39, 40, or 42 LED TV
« on: Jan 22, 2013 at 03:19 PM »
I'm from Cebu so I'm limited to what is available here in the malls. My budget is around 22k but better if lower than 20k....tipid talaga...

My choices are:

Devant 39itv600 - 21,000 no freebies
Prestiz - 42D600k - 22,200 no freebies
Skyworth LED 39" - 39E26- 18,995 (no freebies)
Sanyo 42" LED - LE42K700 - 19,999 ( no freebies) but only 1 year warranty....

Since Sanyo's warranty is suspect and Prestiz is a brand I just heard recently....my choices are down to Devant and Skyworth....and my heart goes for skyworth...

However, when tried to touch the screen of Skyworth, I was told that it has a soft screen and notice that it would leave some marks for about a second or two when I drag my finger on the screen. I was told that it is backlit led not endge lit and that backlit led is better....

Please enlighten me on my choices....

I got My View 46" TV for P25t. Baka naman pwede kang magpa quote sa mga sellers dito for shipping. Full HD na siya. Kaunting dagdag na lang sa budget mo.

I had the same dilemma last December since my budget was only limited to 20K and was scouting for a 40"+ LED/full HDTV. My initial choices were MyView 40 (always out of stock), Skyworth 42" (on sale @ 23K forgot the model, but didn't like the PQ), and the Sanyo LE42K700 (sale from SM @ 19K + free wall mount).

I ended up getting the Sanyo and just extended the warranty to 3 years for an additional 2K for peace of mind. So far so good naman po after a month of heavy use although I wish it is able to support more video file formats (got an NMT instead) and an optical out for audio.

+1 din on the MyView 46", sayang at di ko inabot eto.

I called up Toshiba authorized service rep. and they confirmed that the warranty is only for 1 year and they do not do home service....

So inclined to consider Skyworth and Devant....any experience on these two items?

On the other hand Sanyo here is only for 1 year warranty and I cannot add up payments for additional years of warranty....

Had Toshiba offered at least 2 years warranty, then go ako sa kanila...
