hey guys!

if you have 300k budget to spend on speakers ( FRONT, CENTER, Surround subs and AVR)

what setup will you be going for?

SURROUNDS:
CENTER:
SUB:

home theater will be used mainly for movies.

any recommendations will be very much appreciated.

Does the room acoustic treatments already? Or you have a separate budget for that? All locally sourced with local warranty?

Top of mind suggestion:

AVR: Denon AVR-4311
FRONT: PSB Image T6
SURROUNDS: PSB Image S5 or Image B6
REARS: (esp if room is big) PSB Image B6
CENTER: PSB Image C50
SUB: two SVS PB12NSDs or higher

Local approximate prices (I don't have exact prices right now and you could get generous discounts pa ata): the 4311 is around 105k list price (could be discounted already with the new Denon 4520 coming), the PSB Image will set you back around P120K, and the SVS subs around P80K. Wala pang cables and interconnects.

+1 sa Denon 4311
Before was using my Denon 4311 as processor only with Emotiva XPA-5 as power amp but when I tried the amplifier section of the Denon 4311 the difference is very minimal(almost none) driving my Goldenear speakers compared with XPA-5.

You can also consider Pioneer Elite and Yamaha Aventage receivers.

For speakers you can also consider Paradigm Studio series, Polk Audio LSiM series, B&W CM series and of course Goldenear.

For subwoofer, its SVS... enough said

These choices will be very good in pure HT purposes for sure

What particular series?

The Focal Electra series is very good but very expensive too

The paradigm studio series will most likely make him go way over his budget, kaya I didn't recommend also the higher end PSB Imagine line. The paradigm monitor series would probably be more in line with his 300k budget, inclusive of avr and subs.

I heard the center speaker of the focal Electra line is worth around 300k already. Center speaker pa lang.

Ah ... Those are the best speakers! But of course, I may be biased.

Seriously, I've heard a full set of Focal Chorus speakers for a 7.1 HT system powered by a Denon AVR in a 48 sq meter room and it was awesome. You can get a full set of Focals + Denon 4311 + SVS sub + media player/Bluray. I think shoot sa budget with Focal Chorus.

If ok sa kanya ang bookshelf I think kaya pagkasyahin ang 300k for the Studio series. Before kasi I got the Studio 20 ng 45k and the Cc690 ng 61k. Lets say surrounds is 50k, Denon 4311 is 105k and Svs PB12nsd is 38k so total is 299k... May sukli pang 1k hehehe

You got a nice problem to have

I guess if you are going with the Focal Chorus, partnering it with the right sounding equipment is critical. Probably warmish sounding amps. What's nice about that line too is it isn't hard to power.

Onga, pwede rin! I was thinking of at least the studio 60 towers.

In that case, option na rin ang PSB Imagine series: Imagine Bs for fronts, C center, S surrounds. Dagdag na lang ng 10-15K dual SVS PB12NSDs na (actually kung Imagine Bs din for surrounds almost sakto lang!). Kung 25sqm or less yung room, siguradong may massage effect, perfect for HT!

Denon AVR-4311 basically for Audyssey XT32.

If US imports are ok with you, you can get the Denon 4311 for much less, maybe around 60-70K. Kaya lang 110v and no local warranty.

Actually you have lots of choices of very good sounding receivers. You can also look at Onkyo 818, 3009 and 5009. Also Yamaha A3020. For me dapat both mo priority ang AVR and speakers dahil yan ang heart and soul ng HT set up...

Yeah... +1 on the Imagines. Hindi lang maganda sa HT but audio as well...

Speaker wires? DEECO sa Quiapo. P50 per meter ang high end na gauge 12. Kahit P30 per meter, maganda pa rin.

Speakers are most important and then acoustic treatment. Denon 4311 supports the speakers cuz of Audyssey MultEQ XT32, probably the best room correction tech today and the capability to drive 11 speakers + sub with Audyssey DSX.

I would go with dynaudio speakers. Excite series all the way. Onkyo amp. I like it to sound a little bit on the warm side. Auditioned a pair of excite x12's a week ago. Awesome. If only i wasnt waiting for a pair of countours i would have pulled the trigger.

If for HT application lalo na mainly for Movies this is what I would reco:

Amp: Onkyo 818/3009 (XT32)
Fronts: MK150S2
Center: MK150s2
Rear: S150T
Sub:What ever is left go for an SVS sub, according to our fellow members they're great (no personal experience)! If Mk350 sub kasi di kasya 300k.

Pasok sa 300k yan

MK 150 series speakers are THX Ultra certified and made for movies.

, AVR lang ba talaga sir why not go separates pre/processor then power amps (emotiva) then in walls na golden ears then SVS subs

Then 500K budget for audio only set-up naman

AVR: Marantz SR 6006 = 51K
FRONT: Polk Audio RTi A9 = 45K
SURROUNDS:Polk Audio FXi A6 = 16K
CENTER:Polk Audio CSi A6 = 12K
SUB: = DSWpro 660wi = 16K

total = 140K (hindi kasama yung shipping) + emotiva 3 to give more power sa LCR.... 40K, so 180K lahat....marami pang sukli at mag eenjoy karin sa set up na ito....at sabi mo naman ei pang Home Theater....kaya oki na oki rin ito...
