I generally don't trust the tv reviews on tipidpc.  Let's face it, these guys have different needs/standards and are generally easy to please.

its being sold for 17.5k in sulit. wth the standard 3year warranty, wireless keyboard, makes me think of letting go of my 32" Pana C4x.

It's actually not a bad deal considering it's a 40" FullHD LED with SmartTV capabilities.  :)

Personally, I would wait until after Christmas, since:

a) Prices might still lower;
b) The competition (or newer MyView models) might come out with an even more compelling value; and,
c) There should be enough feedback by then to see whether this truly is a good deal.

My cousin bought one last week 32".
He was so disappointed with it (crappy PQ, crappy SQ, etc), he put it in the maids room instead.  :P
Maids are happy with it though.  ;D

hahaha! sosyal ang mga maids naka 32" LED pa habang nanonood ng mga telenovela sa prime time ^^

My sister is planning on getting a 32" inch TV and i'm not 100% yet on recommending My View.  Di ko sure if kelangan niya ng full HD since HD ready lang yun 32" model. Isip pa muna although the 3 year warranty is a winner.

saw the 32" Myview alongside a Panasonic and Samsung tv's of similar size in Shang Mall.
All three were playing the final battle scene of Avatar at the moment and i saw no difference
in PQ, color levels, etc. If your in a budget the features in this unit coupled with the 3 year warranty
and a excellent price, this is a good buy for the budget minded.

You can't really judge PQ well on a bright store floor. All sets are on torch mode and bad black levels are more apparent under dim lighting.

I took the plunge and bought  the 40 inch 150x for 17.5k. It will be for my kids  who repeatedly watch animations, play ps3 and will be my occasional desktop monitor. Ill test it later and share some feedback.

the 3 year warranty is a big come-on but thinking again, where are cheapo brands like myscreen now?  will myiew still be around after 3-5 years?

CONS:
- PQ is definitely not at par with plasma (PV80 as reference) but good enough for watching movies specially animations
- audio quality is poor, my 5 year old daughter said it sounds funny when i played 1 of their favorite movies. I think this can be improved by using an external speakers.
- build quality is so so, gi sheet ata ginamit dun sa back panel for connections hehe
- still not sure about this, but when i used it as desktop monitor, saw some  dead pixel like symptoms. Not visible when watching hd movies or using it as smart tv. Might be video card compatibility issue.

PROS:
- remote is responsive enough, keyboard, mouse are smooth
- plays hd movies from my external laptop drive via usb
- has built in wifi
- has ICS and works perfectly fine, no touchscreen but mouse and keyboard works well
- price is 17.5k pesos, cheaper than tablets
- For 17.5k pesos, you get a 40 inch hd led tv, a 40 inch  1920x1024 led pc monitor, a media player and a 40 inch tablet all in one.

Its not perfect but it gets the job done, its ok as an alternate TV in my opinion.

You are correct! That's why you should get it from reputable stores that has been tested through time. The TV may not be there but the trusted stores will still be there to honor their commitments!

Hooray for our pdvd partner stores!

That's true economics! Spare your good TV - and give the kids the best for them - and spend less money in the process.

Very decent performance if calibrated correctly in my opinion.

By the way, Video card issue nga yung dead pix2l like symptom.  It's now fine, i just made the tv my primary monitor then symptom was gone. I used my spyder to calibrate the color, color is now more pleasing...

I got two 32 inch units. At the price point its an impulse buy especially since yung gagamit are first time flat panel users. Pq on my 4 year old pana 32 lx700 is better but meh. The price point spoke louder with a warranty to back it up. Just dont expect much hehe

I would bet that the next large size myview to be released is a 46incher..

see this cdrking new release 46in LED at 21995..
http://www.cdrking.com/?mod=products&type=view&sid=15411&main=167

checkout the I/O connections, the remote, the bezel design, etc.. it is just like the 40in myview..
they might have the same supplier/odm, only difference is the warranty..

cdrking does not have many stocks of these.  they usually dont like exchanging items if the item price is high. given that i'd still go for this one.  they are presently out of stock but replenishment is expected second week of december according to stores.

i still remember the CTCS led bulbs they used to sell at home depot which carried a 5 year warranty. their bulbs were mostly duds made in china and conked out within a year and had no office address nor contact number.  now they closed and changed the brand name to CES and legally they are not liable for the old  warranty. this also happened to the pldt telpad wave. the company supplying them provided websites and telephone contacts but are not answering calls and emails anymore. if myview suddenly goes out of business or changes brand or business name within the 3-year warranty, what will happen to those who bought these led tv's? cdrking, how inferior people may think of their quality, has lesser risk closing shop with its wider network of stores.

I was informed LifeWare technology supplied the tablets for the PLDT telpad. I even have a callingcard from one of their salesperson but for another product naman.

They are trying to penetrate the educational institutions with their tablet+edu software packages now.

Hmmmm.....

this is the website of the pldt telpad.

looked at the cdrking 46 inches and it was similar to myview down to the remote. their website indicates warranty at 3 months but store personnel claims it is 1 year

CDR KING? Similar to MY View?  wow...

I really am skeptical with the 3year warranty being offered by MY View... I personally would choose a branded unit over My view... But if one would get MY View units... better get them from a reputable store like SNS that can give you assurance / assistance in case you need warranty claims on your unit...
