Author Topic: AM-40 pinpoint mount - how do i avoid drilling a hole underneath my speaker (Read 4232 times)

Friends in this hobby - I know I'm not the first one to use the AM-40 pinpoint speaker mount, I've tried endlessly to find the thread/gallery which showed how to avoid drilling holes at the bottom of the speaker but I have not been very successful. If anyone can help me find the thread, I'd greatly appreciate it or better yet if you already know how, then please post away and I'd be very thankful for the helping hand.

try mo shallow screws. mga 1/4 inch ang kain sa enclosure para hindi madamage hanggang loob. Or try mo yun 3m na double sided tape na ginagamit sa mga 3m hooks. madikit yun.

hmm...naisip ko narin yung double sided tape na nga lang master, mabuti at sinuportahan mo kasi I was doubting myself hehehe.

brother Jao, ok sana yung blutac kaso may balak talaga akong itilt yung speaker tp point down, and since the bluetac isnt really an adhesive...nag alangan din ako gamitin.

I've been using bluetac for years now, so far no problems. makapit talaga. This is better than the 3M double sided tape

as long as both surfaces are non-porous, di matatanggal yan

Ok na yung blutac.. problema kasi pag double adhesive tape eh pag nag tagal or minsan pag gusto mo tanggalin at linisin yung speakers...

So far matibay yung pagkakakabit ko nang B6, kahit naka full tilt sya walang problema... i tried na alugin at hilahin kapit na kapit talaga sya...

If i were to wall mount a speaker, I would bolt the speaker to the wall mount using the existing holes used for the binding post. It may require removing the woofer to install the bolt and some carpentry/machining to make a suitable plate to mate the speaker to the wall mount.

Yun double adhesive tape na kasama ng 3m hooks comes out very clean. You just have to pull yun parang tongue niya. Very neat. Gamit ko sa mga clocks and pictures sa house ko. But you're right, kapag tinanggal mo yun, hindi mo na maibabalik so you have to put a new one.
