Egreat R6S - R300 (5.2.2012)

Pros:
runs off a 750 MHz Realtek 1186 so 3D playback with ease, (yes 3D.iso!)
most compact 1186 player out there (fits in your pocket)
packed with high speed HDMI 6 ft, 12 months warranty with guaranteed service units while on RMA
storage ports apart from USB 2..0, USB 3.0 port, eSATA port,
firmware allows safe shutdown unlike other 1185 players that just powers off and leave your disk checking upon bootup when plugged to a laptop/PC
auto audio detect lets you connect to AVR via passthrough (like play a True HD material while AVR is on gives great audio output but AVR is off, and display w/o True HD decode capability it can switches to 5.1 LPCM.

Di ko na napigilan last night to try my unit. Excellent PQ. Very satisfied for my first NMT. Pinaulit-ulit ko na lang mga HD trailers na meron ako. Haha! Can't wait for my HDD and hopefully a TV upgrade early next year.

If you are still on Jan 2012 firmware for R300 Pro, and upgrading to later version (available is May 2012)

Warning: You might find yourself with an error when flashing via the Upgrade option in the menu and see " No space for squash image!".
Solution: power cycle the unit again (off and on) with the USB with the install.img firmware and it will still proceed.
Why: it needs to see the firmware (install.img) in its primary drive and writeable so a reboot is required

Now beta testing November 2012/firmware for R300, i suggest you wait for the release officially
***1*** playing 2D BDMV structure titles
Usually: play the title and it will ask for Full Menu Navigation or no Menu Navigation
if you are in May/2012 release, you will need to go into the BDMV folder and hit [OK] button, it will prompt for show Menu or not, so pick as you like but it will play
***2*** playing 3D iso
if will play the 3D video if you select "no Menu navigation"
when you select "show Menu navigation", most of 3D iso will skip the menu entirely and just play the 3D film, there are two titles Priest and Resident Evil afterlife that shows the Menu just fine

I'll ask egreat on airplay, any realtek compatible but let me get the chipset and post here

To those who have actually used the Egreat R300 or R62 as Full 3D-Bluray player.

If the same Full 3D-Bluray rip contains both 3D and 2D version, can you switch between 3D and 2D through the R300 or R6S Controls or through the 3DTV? Syempre 3D is not for everybody and if you have like 10 people watching and only 2 sets of 3D glasses, the option to switch to 2D would be convenient.

Sa PC kasi like TMT5, switching between 3D/2D is done by simply ticking the corresponding Tab sa bandang taas of the TMT5 controls.

You could access the bluray menu (by selecting "play movie with navigation") and choose 2D version on the bluray menu...

If you want to play the 3D version select the "play movie without navigation" and don't go through the bluray menu...

That is if the iso file contains both the 2D and 3D version

Meron din Menu during playback so you can switch 3D to 2D.

AFAIK, the R300 will detect the 3D stream, but if your display isnt 3D, it will play as 2D in full HD still.
If you have a 2D + 3D in the iso via the menu, you may need to select between versions.

Sir Louie18 i just tested my egreat r300 & 4bay Mediasonic Probox w/ i bought from Toyz4geeks.

Ayaw basahin ng maigi ang probox. Pag nilalagay ko sa host 3.0 usb ang probox namamatay ito as n nawawalan ito ng power.
kapag sa harapan naman na usb port ko ikinakabit ang Probox, nababasa ito ng egreat pero parang sirang DVD ang palabas nya.

Ano kaya problema nito?
Pa help naman mga Gurus.

Connect the probox sa "USB 3.0" at the back and not sa "USB 3.0-PC"

Try also to check the USB cable, make it straight without bends...
