how do you change file display from thumbnail to list? di ko masyado gusto yung itsura ng menu ng R300. Also, I noticed that I need to turn on R300 first before my TV otherwise No Signal detected, ganun din ba sa inyo? Thanks!

mas ok pala yung subtitle option in case you want to turn subtitle off while within movie. faster and mas classy

click MENU on the remote while viewing the thumbnail files.

with my R6S, never had issues with signal detection whether the PJ is ON first or the R6S.

I observe that when egreat boots up, it will show its bootup screen then there's a few seconds that it shuts its display prior to the main colored GUI. try approx 10 seconds to sync up and output to your display.

so far from the movies that i have tested and watched Avatar gives you the best 3D experience while in terms of PQ Titanic is simply awesome. Both BD Iso files.

Try pressing yellow or the other colored buttons. Yun kasi ginamit ko before to change view.

Running the r6s which connected via hdmi to Sammy 51e450. Playing 720p files but don't get it at full screen. R6s at 720p 60hz setting. Fiddled with video settings by putting it at 1080i or 1080p but that clips the r6s menu.
Now I need to zoom 2x Just to get full screen.
Any tips? Thanks.

Is there a shortcut on the R6S to show the video folder on the boot up screen? Do we always have to dig into the folders in order to reach the USB/movie content everytime?

Sa R6S meron but not sure if it is the same with the R300.

If the 450 is full HD, it sounds like your R6S is behaving correctly. see below some screenshots of 720p contents displayed at ACTUAL SIZE on my Full HD Plasma using another player. In order to fill out the Full HD Screen, I have to ZOOM to FIT TO SCREEN - I suppose the R6S should have an equivalent ZOOM setting - should be around 2x nga. Iba yung VIDEO Output Setting sa ZOOM Setting.

If you don't want the black bars just press the zoom button continuously until you see the X=100% Y=100% then press up until maging around 120-125% yung value ng "Y"

With this setting you will not lose any details sa sides. Medyo stretch nga lang cya vertically...

Syempre Tsip. That's the actual size of those 720p contents mapped 1:1 on a 1920x1080 panel. So tama lang na may black bars all over. For instance, if I display an SDTV content at actual size (1:1) on my plasma, super liit lalo. If the encode is 1080p, ayun sakop lahat hanggang gilid (kung meron mang natitirang side black bars due to cropping, hindi na halata halos) but depende ang kapal ng top and bottom black bars sa aspect ratio ng movie. Maski sa sample pics, magkaiba yung lapad ng dalawa diba - mas wide ang aspect ratio ng babang movie.

Walang FIT TO SCREEN na option sa ZOOM? I wasnt able to play with the Zoom function of the R300S because puro Full BDs ang na-test ko.

Hmm sa so NMT ganyan ang 720p now ko lang kasi nakita ang ganyang movie na na crop in HTPC kasi hindi naman ganyan yung 720p. I just run a 720p movei on my PJ and Samsung plasma it does not have same output.

The e450 kasi is native 720p panel. I was expecting a full screen because of this..or maybe I'm wrong...
I zoom on the r6s to make it full screen. Doing that though clips the side of the movie. I'll try the x adjust but I suspect stretched material.

Strange! Your 450 is native 720p and your 720p content is not displayed properly? How can that be?
But what do you mean exactly by FULL SCREEN? - no black bars anywhere in the TV? Were you talking about widescreen contents having aspect ratio wider than the aspect ratio of your TV right - or black bars on the top and bottom of the screen? If that is the case, you have no choice but to zoom proportionately beyond overscan to fill out all black bars with image, without stretching the image disproportionately from the original aspect ratio. Putol nga lang yung sides mo.

Can you pls post a pic of how your image looks exactly, before you do zooming? Thanks.

did you try cycling the [16:9] button? alternately, you wanna try zoom X%/Y% , use up/down for X left/right for Y

I'll check for you, I've not tracked the firmware devt of this closely, kaya R300 and R6S is our local bet.

Oh, so it's not an R6S problem but a personal preference issue because the R6S is apparently displaying the original (correct) aspect ratio of the content which is wider than that of your HDTV - hence resulting in top and bottom bars.

So you want this kind of transformation without distorting the proportions:

There's your answer on the 2nd screen...CROP the ears of the man.

Yeah, if the R6S does not have such Crop Option readily, then just do manual X%, Y% zoom adjustment.
