My December 20 order finally arrived last January 22.  :D I already had a notification from the Post Office.  When I got the package I just noticed that there is a January 15 stamp.  Probably it arrived at the PO that date.

saan post office mo sir? me tax ba nung pickup mo yung items?

Paranaque. Pinakuha ko lang sa father in law ko.  Wala naman siningil saking tax.

Yup I will return the replacement items pag dumating.

I ordered from amazon.co.uk 2 BDs (The Amazing Spiderman, The Dark Knight Returns) last December 20 and is scheduled to arrive last January 4.  Until now, it hasn't arrived yet.  I emailed amazon about it but no reply yet.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  More than 2 weeks delayed na.

I'm almost sure both your order and your replacement order will arrive. It happens a lot; for some reason, Amazon-UK delivery is always very late in QC - often over a month from the estimated delivery date. I stopped complaining after around 3 replacement orders ended up being duplicates.

Did you return the duplicate orders? Before in amazon.com I also get duplicate orders.  After I got the duplicates, I inform them and they just tell me to donate to the local library.  But this time, they are requesting to return the duplicate orders and have instructions to print out some papers with a barcode to be included in the return package.  Any postage expenses will be refunded.

Just once, the last time it happened and I got similar instructions. At QCPO, it's simple: Just tell them "Return to Sender" IF the package is still unopened. Never followed up if they actually did return it, since at that point, I felt my obligation was done.

Okay lang ba mag order from Amazon UK ng item sold by a third-party vendor?

I tried it once last year but the seller didn't ship to the Philippines. They took my order when I placed it, but subsequently informed me that the order could not be fulfilled.

I do this sa amazon but I have it shipped to a US address then my relative just ships it here.  So far no problems with opened, viewed once discs. Big price cut from buying brand new.

Slightly OT:

I ordered 3 posters from a 3rd party seller (PosterRevolution) last Jan 19, they will ship it by Jan 23. That date came and I still did not receive any email that they "dispatch" the item. So I contacted the seller and they replied that they already "dispatched" it. This is their reply:

"In reference to your concern, your order is being shipped by Brokers World Wide Standard delivery. Items shipped via this method are shipped in bulk to the destination country and then, turned over to that country's Local Postal Service for delivery to the specific address."

The posters cost about Php 102.00 but shipping cost Php 1003.00...

Item(s) Subtotal:    £1.51
Postage & Packing:    £14.97
     -----
Total:    £16.48
     -----
Total for this Delivery:    £16.48

The posters are:

James Bond Skyfall October Teaser Movie Maxi Poster - 61x91 cm

The Godfather - Red Rose - Maxi Poster - 61 cm x 91.5 cm

Back To The Future Maxi Poster 61 cm x 91.5 cm

Apparently the prices of these items at Amazon UK fluctuate. The Matrix Trilogy and the Ultimate Superman Collection have more than doubled in price since last January.

So if you really want something... don't hold back too long.

Just arrived today
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B003YCOIFY/ref=ox_ya_os_product
I took a gamble about it's region coding considering that it cost more than Php 2000 (excluding S&H) if ordered from Amazon US [I can now confirm that it's region free]. The Amazon UK cost me Php 1330.00 (including 40 from PO). The product was ordered last Feb. 12.....

I returned the duplicate BD copies to Amazon and told them what I paid for postage.  They were able to refund by giving credit to my card.

Just once, the last time it happened and I got similar instructions. At QCPO, it's simple: Just tell them "Return to Sender" IF the package is still unopened. Never followed up if they actually did return it, since at that point, I felt my obligation was done.

Also thinking of doing the same thing, ordering abroad and having them shipped to the Philippines. But with the new IP code of the Philippines, the news said will no longer allow books and DVDs to brought to the Philippines.

Is it still possible to order online and have them shipped here or not anymore?

^ Bull***t yan sir. :)

My friends in the IPO worked on the amendment proposal for the IPC provision which you're referring to. It actually removes the limit on how many copies you can bring here.

Cheaper ata yung box since each yellow pouch subject sa minimum 2lbs nila..

can't help you with the post office query.

but on the JAC service, depende ilan order mo from amazon and if sabay siya dadating sa isang box. usually 6 or more blu rays inoorder ko per batch and nasa box lang siya na maliit. around 800 to 1k depende sa bigat yung charge nun ng JAC.

As a general rule, if it's under US$50 (including shipping), kadalasan walang tax. Ako, nakakalusot ang under £50. I don't think they notice it's sterling and not dollars.

Nagreshuffle sa QCPO. Wala na lahat ng kakilala ko at the package claim window when I went there last month. Si Aling Mena, retired na rin. I still didn't have to pay customs duties, though.

So as a general rule, mas ok PO nalang pag less than $50, pero JAC nalang if over $50 para shipping nalang and no customs tax.

Planning on buying in bulk, so might as well go with JAC. Any update sa service nila? It's been almost a year since I last used them, di ko alam if may changes in terms of customer satisfaction.

Sa JAC Dian branch ako suki. Ok tao dun. Very friendly and mapagkakatiwalaan. Pwedeng kuliting about your incoming packages.

1 week+ after they get your package sa states, andjto na yan sa pinas
