Not many speakers on offer cater to low-mid power tube amps. Fortunately there are speakers like the Proac D1 available to bottle heads like me. The D1 is the successor to the highly successful 1SC. The D1 raises the sensitivity by 1.5db over the 1SC. Pair the D1 with a good 20-60 watts tube amp and you’ll be amazed how magical this baby can be. I loved the sound of the ProAc's playing this afternoon. There was just so many people in the room, I wasn't able to ask for more details about the speakers.

ProAc Response hooked up to Audio Analogue Maestro Duecento Integrated Amp and Roksan Caspian CD Player.

The attendant told me that they were "D Three" speakers, and I've never heard of that model (might be new). They looked like Response D Two speakers to me.
