what's the difference between the old nmt and the 1186 chipset

Can someone pls educate me about the new chipsets? It says it plays 3D and all but my old mede8er and entry level ac ryan plays 3D. What about PQ and SQ any improvement? Tia :)

Full 3D Bluray rip (1186) vs Half-3D encode I suppose. 

I intend to verify this myself during my Christmas vacation.

Marami kasing type ng 3D file. Meron full 3D bluray iso, meron Side by Side, Top and Bottom, etc...

All NMTs can play them as long as your TV/PJ are 3D capable except for full 3D bluray iso. Realtek 1186 and Sigma 8910/8911 lang ang capable nyan...

Kaya na ba ng 1186 and that new Sigma chip ang FULL-SBS or FULL-OU?  Hanggang Half-Half lang ang PCH-A2xx ko. 

Kapag PC, no problem ang Full-SBS/OU.

sir louie,

im very much a newbie in ht, lalu na pag dating sa 3D..

i tried reading some forums/threads, and there are nmt na may options pano niya babasahin yung 3d movie... left-right, up-down, etc.. so  the tv doesnt do any processing anymore, tama ba?
may iba naman sinasabi, from nmt, to tv and cables, dapat lahat 3d ready..

im planning to get a nmt w/ 1186 chip.. since the nmt is the one playing/converting the movie into 3d; ok lang ba na hindi 3d ang tv ko?

Your tv needs to be capable of 3d to produce the output that the nmt will provide.

Thank you for informing me. Now I know the difference also did a side by side pq comparison when brought my med and ac ryan to my brothers house. Thanks guys :)
