Doc Mel,
#1 wag mo muna sulatan yang disk na yan, kahit ano (or if you use GetDataBack write all data to a different drive) or run anything that might write any data to the disk to reduce your risk of non-recovery. (this includes scrubbing ng data if your NMT does it (i.e. NMJ, Jukebox etc)
#2 if you have a spare disk, and very important ang laman nyan , clone it
(sa akin important din yan hahaha), clone mo yang disk na yan, i have a few 2TB here clone mo then send over. 2TB = 7 hours cloning nga lang, para may backup ka and if you dont mind.
I recently encountered this with a 3TB and forgot the freaking thing that fixed it (i used home edition lang and it worked like a charm): My problem was a lost partition due to an unsafe pull accidentally from a drive bay:

Edited:
no it is not at risk. tama scan disk first
in my case kasi did not work so i did above.
Sometimes it that happens kasi when a disk is left open. anong NMT yan, pabulong?
check if may eject media, so it can unmount the storage properly. sa egreat merong eject (i.e. if you have 8-bay, it ejects all 8 in one go, same for 4-bay), parang yung sa PC natin eject USB.
