Nice Gears Doc. However, the only thing to give justice to their Class is to build a Custom Rack so that when you look at them they are all arrange in a right manner not looking like a demo room (Forgive my unsolicited advise). Beautiful Set-up! Congrats! Another Audiophile Doctor!

Ganda talaga gawa ni Brader Cal. Impressions naman Doc at makapag pagawa din. :D

Best compliment I can give upon auditioning Cal's speaker cables last night is that it's like putting your ears directly on the speaker outputs of your amp. It's that clean, detailed and transparent. Put a bad source and it will reveal it fully. Put in an excellent source and it will make you smile. . .Garbage in,. . .garbage out! :)

Thanks guys. . . :D

Finally was able to buy a 1 meter 3/4 inch black heatshrink at Lyn's electronics at Cubao. The Achilles heel of the SL-1200 is it's tonearm. Either you put another tonearm( most are rega tonearms modified by Origin Live but you'll have to send your rb-250 or what have you to England) and the other option is either you put silicon O-rings around the tonearm or wrap the tonearm in heatshrink. . .I took the 2nd option and right now, I'm happy with the sonic benefits. . . Very cheap tweak, 21 pesos for the 1 meter heatshrink, a 20 pesos cricket lighter and a small piece of black electrical tape(20 pesos) to tidy up the ends. Then you need a VTF gauge to adjust the VTF and you're all done. Tweaking is such fun. . .

nice Doc Endrik.
tweak is for tonearm resonance, right?

Korek Dana. same principle of putting dampers sa tubes. To decrease microphonics. Yes Lynn's Cubao is jurassic na. . .the only living dinosaur aside from Marikina shoe expo. . . :)

I forgot to mention that I placed O rings on the tonearm headshell junction and end stub of the tonearm aside from the heatshrink tweak. . . ;)

I tried Herbie's way excellent mat and the funk firm achromat but this mat is the best so far. . . ;)

Just arrived from England with money back guarantee! the audacity!!! ;D
upgrade mat for the Technics Sl-1200 . . .

*Definitely not snake oil. . . ;) No harm in trying, you can send it back to them no questions asked if you're not happy with it. . .

Highly recommended!!! :)

After getting the SMSL TA-36 pro and being astounded by it's airiness and SQ, I've decided to get myself an equalizer, a Pioneer GR-777 topped my agenda. I saw one being sold here but the price is kinda stiff for me. A helpful soul, Jun(Quezon Hill) pm'ed me and said he has one and was willing ro sell it to me for 4k. Now that is the price I want and seems to be fair. Long story short, I went to Victory liner Cubao terminal to fetch it. Upon opening the box, I was surprised that it is in near mint condition considering it's age.Now I have an option to change the acoustics especially on poorly recorded cd's and Lp's. Would like to thank pdvd because without this forum and it's helpful members, the searching for an item would be more tedious especially for a much sought after equalizer like the GR-777 which was TOTL during it's time(1989-. . .)

Malinis at detalyado tumunog yung PSVANE Jen. nearing 40 hours of use pa lang. :D

Got this Technics boron headshell from the technics EPA-100 mk2 tonearm. Very rare and the tonearm rarely comes up for sale. . .

Here are web pics of a rare Technics sl-1000mk3 with the EPA=100 mk2 tonearm

Here are pics of the technics boron headshell installed, Aside from the heatshrink wrap, I placed silicon O-rings on the tonearm for additional tonearm resonance reduction. . .

*The beautiful audio technical bubble level I bought from Sir jojo(Cooltoyz) :D

Tried it na Ronald. Rubberized cork pa. Ok din at maganda sa stock rubber mat. Pero the origin live mat for the technics is the best mat I've tried so far. . .
