To the experts, I've been contemplating on getting a 2.0 or 2.1 system for my living room (around 20sqm) and chanced upon the following. Purpose is to have external speakers for my TV (watch movies) and to listen to music.

1. Audioengine N22 Premium Desktop Audio Amplifier

Power Output: 2 x 22 Wpc RMS
Frequency Response: 20Hz -20 kHz, ±1dB
THD+Noise: < 0.02% at all power settings
Analog Inputs:  two stereo analog (via 1/8-inch mini-jack and RCA jacks)
Analog Outputs:  variable-output preamp (via RCA jacks), stereo speaker taps (via gold-plated 5-way binding posts).
Other: Provides USB power charging port.
Input Impedance: 10 kOhms

2. Paradigm Shift Millenia CT (http://www.paradigm.com/shift/systems/MilleniaCT/specs.php)

The audioengine is $200 (excluding speakers) versus $700 for the paradigm. Would it be a better choice to get the audioengine and just get good bookshelf speakers or just go with the paradigm 2.1 option? If I take the audioengine route, which bookshelf speakers (below P20k) do you think is a good match?

Thanks in advance.
